Meh, anything is possible. He could've had a friend/family member involved in the thing. I dated a girl years ago that was working in the PHX Fashion Week thing, ended up going to part of it. Hated it, but she was pretty hot.

I didn't believe it before, but I think CEH is probably going to be traded to ARI when we trade them our 2nd for DHop. Apparently, ARI does have some need for a RB in a rotational role that can pass-pro and catch passes.

He actually has decent hands, catches the ball with his hands, instead of trapping the ball against his chest plate, and can run some decent routes, as long as they aren't deep.

I recall reading that Helaire was going to be great when we drafted him because he could catch passes out of the backfield, but it seems like it has been a rarity in his career.

He prefers to catch them with the back of his helmet.

Statistically, he caught 72 balls on 100 targets in his time as a Chief so far. 18 TDs combined. In Andy's offense, that's not bad.

And injuries cost him some production. But as far as I could tell, his biggest issue was lack of size/length. He has a small catch radius. Some passes were simply too tall, or they were outside his reach.

But yeah, I was among those that had high hopes for Clyde in the passing game at first. He showed good hands and decent route-running skills in college, but at the NFL level that lack of size and speed shrunk his catch radius to the point that it made it kind of like Pat trying to thread needles while DLs were trying to smash him. Not ideal.

News to me. Pat completely quit looking his way even when he was uncovered out of the backfield in the flat. It was disgusting when Pat would lob one perfectly over his shoulder and he stumbles over his own feet trying to catch it. Had to be an equilibrium problem.

I've been listening to talking heads babble about the draft this week and relative to the CEH pick, I find this recurring thing hilarious.

"You don't take a RB in the first round."

"RB x is a second round talent."

The last pick in the first is the same as a pick in the second. Just stop it.

The 5th year option exists for 1st round picks. BIG difference.

Yes it is, but at the same time with the way the CBA is laid out, if the player makes a Pro Bowl, their 5th yar option becomes much more expensive. Still better to have it than not though, especially if that player is solid, but not a Pro Bowler.

I think a 2nd is too much for Dhop, but a 3rd, for CEH, in exchange for DHop if the Cardinals eat some of his salary?

I have a really hard time saying no to that. I think that makes sense for all three parties, gives Clyde a new start somewhere else, and puts the Chiefs firmly in pole position for the AFCCG prior to the draft.

Wonder what CEH value is right now as a stand alone. He did have that one all-purpose thousand yard season and he's still only 24. It would be a bit like turning water into wine but I figure if anyone could flip CEH for a late 2nd/mid 3rd it would be Bertus Vrist.

Wonder if he would be apart of that rumored package to move up in the draft this year.

LMAO The most you'd get for CEH is like a 6th round pick. He plays a position that isn't highly valued and already has an injury history.

They'd shut down the league and investigate Veach for blackmail if he was able to get that for CEH.

If he got a conditional 6th/7th I'd consider it a good deal.

Iconic 04-27-2023 11:44 AM

Zero chance they pick up his 5th year.

I always thought his running style invited brutality in an unsustainable way for his size. On at least two of his injuries (including his first against the Saints, before which I’d argue he had NFL level burst) came on hits where he initiated the contact.
