Thats fair. I like what theyre doing, but i want chiefs content to fill in the gaps. My job allows me to listen to podcasts 5-6 hours a day if i want. And do some reading when i dont. I dont like rgr and co anymore because as theyve gone on its less reporting and more opinion.

I think hes had more action but Gray still looks a lot smoother and athletic in his routes imo.

I think teams that haven't (or have barely) played their starters in the preseason are making a huge mistake.

Waiting until the first regular season game to have your defensive players make an actual real tackle is a bold strategy Cotton, let's see how it plays out.

Gray seems like a 3 seasons down the road, developmental type move.

Fortson on the other hand seems to be playing for a job right now.

He (Fortson) had two blocks last Friday that really impressed me. Granted it wasn't against first-teamers, but if that's the supposed weak part of his game then he doesn't have any weak parts of his game.

These guys have become my new second favorite podcast after the Times Ours guys (because I like the personalities).

But for raw knowledge there's no one above KC Lab guys.

Is that really that surprising? Fortson is entering his 3rd year in the system. He’s certainly much more familiar with how the offense in general operates. It’ll just take Noah Gray some time to get up to speed.

I like them as fans after the games and Matt Derrick has good inside info. And Ryan knows his stuff wrt to injuries. But in the off-season when they're just rambling about stuff and filling time it gets hard to take.

I haven't found any other pods with football insight that aren't incredibly dry...but also not sure where to look. I use kcsn for chiefs, chris simms unbuttoned for the nfl at large, I'm pretty happy with them

Definitely think he's an immediate contributor in spots but feel, even more so than the natural rookie progression, that we'll see him explode in a couple seasons.

Pretty good insight and definitely not dry. I think they're still doing one free podcast during the regular season and one that requires a subscription.

I can see AR playing them most of the 1st half. 1st game against Cleveland, no gimme. Whoever comes out sharp will win. Entirely new offensive line. A few more series for the line/offense to get some of the kinks out. Normal turnover you wouldn't play them as much but with 2 weeks between pre and regular season it's probably worth the risk.

Mahomes is 10-0 in September. We have huge games in the first month of the season. I'm all for fine tuning the starters in Pre-Season due to that.

I don't think Andy lumped that much praise on him. Unless I missed something, all he basically said that Fortson was a hard worker and wanted to get better and they can work with that.

I'm kinda nervous about the Browns. We'll be playing them while they're healthy which means OBJ in the loop this time. But they might run it down our throats and make it a long day. They have a shit load of talent.

Has to be Gray.

Bell is a good blocker but his Recieving skills are severely lacking. Kelce and Fortson make a good 1-2 combo. Plus Gray you can mix and match as well. May not even need Burton tbh.

Browns are in for a beat down.

If you’re worried about the Browns, just look into their DL and their stats from last season.

After Garrett, they are horrible and will have zero pass rush. As good as Garrett is, they’ll have a bottom 10 pass rush.

Their secondary is pretty average too. Ward is good but he hasn’t finished a full season yet.

The Browns will not be able to stop our passing game. Mahomes was torching them last season, even with a much worse OL. Their pass rush is probably worse than last season too.

The Browns will have a very bad pass defense. Mahomes will torch them and they’ll have to abandon the run.

When Mahomes went out in that playoff game, they knew they could stick to their offensive game plan to run the ball. That kept them in the game.

If Mahomes plays the entire game, we win by 20+.
