I guess I need to know what that graph defines as "deep passing", as in what yard marker makes a pass deep....

It goes from Alex Smith at 5.6% to 0% for a few backup QBs.

Pat Kirwan is probably looking at completions that went for 20 or more yards.

Giving Alex credit for Jamaal Charles taking a screen pass over 20 yards (has happened at least thrice this year) is the kind of thing homers love.

That's what I'm thinking as well. Hell, Alex chewed up the Eagles on those quick crossing routes to Avery. Those have got to factor in to his statement.
