Probably because this team is awful and Eric Winston opened his fat ****ing mouth.

You think Cassel isn't going to start against the Raiders?

Bowe has the same goal?... Getting the hell out of KC.

By all accounts, no side budged in negotiations and Bowe held out after being tagged and the deadline for contract talks passed.

Bowe's actions and twitter account stated he wanted to be a Chief this offseason. That indicates that he had a contract number in mind. He could have been paid and he would have stayed.

Maybe the price was too high, but we don't know what that price was. To speculate on that number means placing my trust in either Pioli or Bowe. Guess which one I'm NOT going to trust.

What were you expecting him to say?

This team has been dog shit ever since Bowe entered the league, not just when Pioli arrived. He can leave the Chiefs and get paid elsewhere and actually have fun playing the game because he can choose a winning team.

You're having trouble keeping your own narrative straight. Pioli doesn't care what the fans think, but the team is awful and Winston foisted a pr nightmare on him so he had to go talk to the media and try to straighten things out with the fans. Cassel may start, but what difference does it make? There is no real viable alternative.

Pioli possibly trading Bowe isn't going to be popular with fans, one way to soften the blow is to leak that Bowe hates KC, can we at least agree that's a fair assumption and not the impossibility you purport it to be?

Do you think Pioli would have made the rounds in the KC media if Winston didn't open his mouth?

Pioli cares about 1 person.... The man signing his check.

If there's any legitimacy to the Bowe trade (which I doubt) it would mean Clark has ok'd him for another year...

Pioli isn't going anywhere.

No kidding. If it was all about Winston, it would have happened last week while it was still fresh news. This is more about getting blown out again to go to 1-5 heading into the bye week.

"It is understandable why Bowe wants out of Kansas City. But if the Chiefs are left with no choice and have to trade him, they must get as much as they can out of him since their NON EXISTENT passing game will be next to non-existent without their star wideout"

There:D

ForeverChiefs58 10-18-2012 11:00 AM

Who cares if a player wants to leave? Not like the team doesn't have the money or options to keep whatever player they want. I am so sick of this excuse BS.

There have been players that want to leave teams throughout the NFL. Not every player gets what he wants. Maybe if the GM and owner didn't suck so bad, players wouldn't mind getting Hunt's money, and actually want to play in KC.

Ace Gunner 10-18-2012 11:01 AM

But their INT game is off the chain:D

Bewbies 10-18-2012 11:04 AM

Draft Geno, and pay Bowe. He would love to stay in KC with that deal.

And Bowe won't take a discount to leave town....
