Coin flip ROFL Chiefs have 1 more win. It's unfortunate. But a winner or loser of that game can't be determined. It's a no contest if not played.

Hammock Parties 01-03-2023 05:25 PM

if the bills wanted the one seed they should have beaten the jets

I fully understand that a lot of you will disagree with me on that. Ultimately I want them to play the game even if it means an extra week to the season. But if that’s not in the cards for any number of reasons, then I’ll honestly enjoy the playoffs less if we’re able to get the 1 seed by virtue of the ‘no contest’ ruling. I know you guys will claim to not care, but if we end up winning a SB, we’re going to hear about that forever with an asterisk.

I’d rather leave up the 1 seed to a coin flip and then let the chips fall where they may. That way people can shut the **** up once and for all and we won’t have to litigate this for years on end.

What's there to litigate? People profit from the misfortune of others all the time. If Mahomes had broken his leg midseason, the Chiefs fell off a cliff, and the Chargers won the division, do you think they'd step aside and give the title to the us because it would be the fair thing to do? Hell no.

The Bills and Bengals could have continued the game. They chose not to. That's on them and has absolutely dick to do with the Chiefs. We should absolutely not be screwed over because of that. And for the love of God, had anybody outside Buffalo ever heard of this guy prior to yesterday? It's not like this happened to Allen or Diggs.

There will always be an asterisk unless Buffalo gets the top seed. If the Chiefs win the coinflip, people will complain also. In fact, there will be an asterisk at this point no matter who gets the top seed. The Chiefs will generate the least sympathy because they didn't play in this game, they lost to Buffalo and Cincinnati, and because nobody likes us anyway.

The Bengals and the Bills are already in the playoffs.

If the Chiefs come out of the AFC, they earned it, regardless of how they get the 1 seed.

Anything else is just cry baby bullshit that should be ignored.

If there were no post season consequences or the outcome only affected CIN and BUF, fine flip a coin. However the Chiefs and even moreso the Ravens are significantly impacted by the results. It also affects the other WC teams and who their opponent would be in the first round. I don't see how you can throw away multiple teams hard work over 17 games to get where they are on a coin flip.

They need to find a way to play the game or BUF and CIN need to concede an L if they aren't willing to play it.

You can find a reason to put an "asterisk" on pretty much any championship in any sport ever if you're looking for one.

If we were to go on to win it all this year, then this wouldn't change a thing in regards to how I feel about it.

All I want to know is what is going to happen to my bet on Bengals +2.5.

Probably voided and refunded.

I agree with your analysis.

I can see the officiating crew in Vegas taking care of the NFL's problem with the Bills/Bengals.

This is my fear.

Lot of people will be looking out for it and it's a standalone national TV game so they'll need to be careful not to be too blatant about it.

Us losing to the Raiders would solve a lot of potential headaches for the league though.

Lol, don't worry. This dumbass squad isn't sniffing a championship this year.

DraftKings voided my bet and credited my account the funds
