Don’t like the Bengals but I agree with their executive VP Katie Blackburn that changes like this should only be made in the off-season and doing it now is absolute bullshit bc it introduces bias, especially from other teams that aren’t in the playoff race.

Should be based on win %

Do you know what BUF record is at Indy?

They're currently on a 6 game losing streak when playing in Indy.

Buffalos record in Indy is meaningless. That is against Indy.

Chiefs record in Indy is shitty as well.

Guess if it happens we will have a game that lasts forever as neither team can win in Indy.

I guess if it makes Mr/Mrs gender neutral feel better, we don’t pay attention to Canadian geography much either. But it’s mainly because Canada is irrelevant to everything and we don’t care.

So, your theory is the NFL purposefully scheduled the AFCCG on Kansas Day, despite the NFL schedule being basically the same for years on end outside of changes to the playoff format, in order to tell us all something about the Chiefs?

Are you that guy who would post walls of text in the Romper Room linking the most reeruned shit together?

This is not fair that the Bills get away with not losing to the Bengals when everyone with a football pulse could see the Bengals are miles better than the Bills (I agree that the Bengals are playing the best football right now).

It is the Bengals that get cheated the most here but they should have insisted to play the game this week to force the Bills to forfeit...

The Bengals should insist the Bills / Bengals divisional game is at a neutral site too and if that is the case the cheating Bills will be eliminated and we will have our Chiefs / Bengals AFCCG in Arrowhead where it will be an absolute dog fight!

What are Bills fans unhappy about?

They were likely going to lose to Cincinnati. Instead, they now get a home playoff game against the Bengals and a neutral site against the Chiefs. Otherwise, both games would be road games for Buffalo.

Doesn't matter, the voting is baked in, they aren't going to release this unless they are sure it is a done deal. They do need to address this in the off season with firm rules on resuming a game, or forfeiting.

The new ENGLAND patriots must be from the UK then, along with both of the teams from new YORK.

Or do all the team locations coincide with states.

The states of:
Las Vegas
Los Angeles
San Francisco
New England
Seattle
Dallas

Buffalo and their trash fan base are gutless quitters, as evidenced by the fact their team quit on the field Monday. Walked off like scared bitches.

They need 24 votes to pass this utter trash of an idea. I hope to hell there are at least 9 reasonable owners who realize this is the biggest load of shit to occur in the NFL in a very long time and they block this proposal. You can't just change rules right before the playoffs because one of your darling teams was to goddamn sad to finish a game they were getting their asses kicked in.

The Bills are already going to be getting every conceivable call in every game going forward, there's no reason whatsoever they need any further advantage.

Because the Bills decided not resume play against the Bengals. Listening to the Dr.s comments yesterday, Damar was stable and improving hourly and this game should have been played on Wednesday. Why didn't they? Well, down 2 starting dbacks, the Bengals would have boat raced you. This solution is the best possible outcome for you. The NFL rules don't say if you beat someone and have a worse record that you get a higher seed. Your boys should have played, period.

Kansas City was founded in the 1850's before the state of Kansas was founded.

City founders derived the name from the Kansas, or Kaw, River which was named for the Kansa Indians. The state of Missouri then incorporated the area as the City of Kansas in 1853 and renamed it Kansas City in 1889.

I propose Anonymous24 be renamed Anonymous13. 13 seconds to implode.

Listening to the nfl network is maddening.

I’m tired of the “there is no perfect solution” for this.

Umm yeah, their definitely is. In fact, there are existing rules for this scenario (game cancelled).

Any scenario that asks owners and players and fans to give up a home playoff game by virtue of a coin flip or neutral site nonsense should be told to go F themselves.

In a league full of bad decisions, this is getting close to the top of them.

LOL. So, by this logic, are the Sioux City bandits from the state of Sioux? Aside from what everyone else pointed out, I can assure you as a resident of the state of Kansas, no one gives a shit about "Kansas Day". As a matter of fact, the first time I ever read anything about it was......your post.

I personally love the state of New England

Yeah, I've tried really hard to give them the benefit of the doubt from several different angles.

Surely, they had a plan... maybe this IS the plan? Maybe it just went off script? Maybe we just don't know WTF is happening behind the scenes?

The potential options should have been known before the game even started, then communicate those options to both teams along with the consequences of their choices (continue the game tonight... or else continue in the next 48 hours... or else it's a forfeit/no contest/etc).

I've seen a comment about "being flexible like they did with Covid"... uh, this isn't anything like this. This is a relatively easy thing to prepare for years in advance and work through different scenarios in order to prepare for most of it (outside of maybe waiting to see if Hamlin is okay).

Changing the entire format of the playoffs at this point seems pretty damn ridiculous.

I said it before, but these games are huge revenue for cities. I can’t imagine a city wanting to give that up without some form of compensation.

If Damar had passed away or wasn't stabilized and improving hourly from the time he arrived at the hospital, then these changes make sense. Allowing Buffalo to not play this game really screwed the Bengals more than anyone, and us secondly as they would most likely would have lost down 2 starting dbacks.

He registered two other accounts, one that seemed spam-botty... and those both had '888' in them.

And that makes sense for around here... people with 88 in their name are generally dumb****s, and he had to go the extra '8'.

Plus the Kansas thing has Carlos88 written all over it.

I have to imagine the Bengals would have pushed harder to play if they had known this.

To me this is all about PR. The NFL doesn't want to be seen as mean to the team where the player had a heart attack on the field.

I don't think it's because the league is trying to help Buffalo specifically.

This has led them down this path where things are far more complicated than necessary.

Literally all they know how to do is maximize profit. When it comes to real life circumstances and situations, they are more clueless than just about any private or public organization in this entire country.

It's really is mind boggling.

Yeah, I've really gone out of my way to avoid all the weepy media idiots this week, acting like Hamlin stepped on a landmine and was blown to bits.

I really wonder how many of them actually feel that way, and how many realize that if they don't pretend to feel that way they'll get pilloried the same way Bayless is.
