I watched on DVR today and saw some good and bad things.
This kid from SMU sucks. Maybe he's a nice player over in a little league but he was simply terrible. Vick is going to be awesome. Ellis is still Ellis which is fine I guess now that we have 4 destroyers down low in Traylor, Michelson, Bragg and Diello. I don't know what's going on with Laden Lucas. Is he playing in this thing? If he is he sure didn't get any minutes. He should transfer now so he can get some PT somewhere else. Frank is still good and should be an All American candidate this season along with Selden. Cat is now a man amongst boys and when he wants to put it down he does. Fun to watch. |
Lucas can't transfer since he already burned a year red shirting.
|
Tough break for him then.

Yeah, I just watched the 2 games on the DVR last night. That SMU kid is decent on defense but he turned it over way too much on offense. I thought the refs were a little unfair to him because he was getting abused on the offensive end with no calls and got ticky tack calls on the defensive end.
My observations: - Perry is still Perry. I wish he'd be more physical but he just prefers to finesse it. - Selden is looking much improved from his ball handling to his jumping and timing on alley oops to simply just creating offense. It's looking like last year was just a sophomore slump and he's ready to prove that he deserved his All American status. - Frank is Frank. He's a quality leader. No worries about him. I expect him to be just as good as last year. - Vick looks to be pretty athletic. I like that he got a lot of playing time against Brazil. He looks like he could be a very good player. He needs to build some muscle, though. - Bragg didn't do a ton so it's hard to judge. Not to mention that mask surely is bothering him. He looks like he doesn't mind shooting the mid range jumpers and he can get up and block shots and rebound. - Jamari Traylor is the same old Jamari. At times he's hustling and bringing energy to the team. Other times he's making boneheaded decisions and costing the team. Nothing has changed with this guy. Hopefully, we see more of the good side. |

Hey, did anyone else notice that they were wearing Kansas on the front of their jerseys in the first game? They made them put USA on the jerseys for the next game. ROFL |
