One thing that I think benefits Smith is the change in play calling (albeit subtle) when they trail. Reid abandons for the most part the ridiculous lateral throws that against a Denver only puts you in 2 and 10 or 3 and 8 situations that make it difficult to convert.
It isn't all Reid, but it would help if he didn't get so cute with the horizontal game. Quick screens with Tyreek (not Wilson) should be in the playbook, just not so obvious or repetitive. |
