The typical reply to this would be, "The guy isn't an idiot. He's not going to sabotage his career just because he didn't get what he wants (i.e., a trade)."
But this is Marcus Peters. And he doesn't deserve to get the benefit of the doubt when it comes to assumptions of rational behavior.

Yep, all signs pointed to him wanting OUT...if he was that dissatisfied with KC, then damn near anything could've happened in 2018
He could've single handedly lost us a game, or got suspended multiple games for some idiocy that costed us more than 1 game... we'll know more soon no doubt, the press is going to be ALL over this and I'm sure the brass knows a legit explanation is in order

Fair points, although everything at this point seems to be conflicting rumors.
If he hates it here, it's because the fanbase turned on him over the Anthem shit. This town LOVED Peters before the kneeling, and his Chiefs career post has gone to shit with half the fanbase.
So yeah, I can see why he would hate it here.

Way too much is being made of the anthem stuff IMO
I'd love to hear a regular at the games like gblowfish' take on just how raucous the boos were for Peters when he did that... I'd bet its being overplayed by the media and others
There were no doubt people who heckled him when they could, but again... I bet its been overplayed
