He's thinking that if he's gonna take a 1-yr prove it deal, it'll be easier to do on an offense he knows with a QB he knows. He's betting on consistency.

It's a 1 year deal...who cares? It's not like it was a multi year deal that could hurt us in the future if we overspent. We have like $20-$30mil in cap space. We couldn't push an extra mil or 2 to seal the deal?

I don't get the logic from both sides. Turning down our deal on Juju's part and not offering more than $8mil guaranteed if it looked like he was leaning towards staying.

Maybe. But in addition to all the other Big Rape problems that Pitt has and other WR target issues-they still have massive holes all along the oline.
