On the bright side, Mondesi is typically really good for that week between coming back from the IL and going back on it again.
So, we can look forward to that.

You can't count on Mondesi at all. He's always injured.

So why aren't we giving Witt Jr time at SS? Dozier isn't being a complete pumpkin to start this season so he can go back to his natural 3rd for now and Witt and Lopez can be SS and 2nd base. Merrifield can rot and decay out in RF until he ****s off after the season.

Dozier is an awful 3B defender, though. He just isn’t good there.

Their best defensive alignment with Mondesi out would be Witt-Lopez-Merrifield.

They should just go with this moving forward this season and have Mondesi be the first off the bench if and when he gets over his knee injury.
