Milwaukee native Douglas MacArthur scans the crowd.
"It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it," he says. "There is no substitute for victory, and victory we shall have, whether it's war or football. We know now that Aaron shall return, so we will reinforce his position in the trenches." The Green Bay Packers select Otito Ogbonnia, DT, UCLA. The Packers have now completed their draft. When the draft started, WR wasn't a big need, but then we suddenly had some job openings, hence the two late picks.
1-28. Green Bay Packers - Rain Man - Trey McBride, TE, Colorado State 2-59. Green Bay Packers - Rain Man - Logan Hall, DT, Houston 3-92. Green Bay Packers - Rain Man - Brian Asamoah II, LB, Oklahoma 4-132. Green Bay Packers - Rain Man - Verone McKinley III, S, Oregon 4-140. Green Bay Packers - Rain Man - Joshua Ezeudu, IOL, North Carolina 5-171. Green Bay Packers - Rain Man - Velus Jones, WR, Tennessee 7-229. Green Bay Packers - Rain Man - Jalen Nailor, WR, Michigan State 7-250. Green Bay Packers - Rain Man - Reed Blankenship, S, Middle Tennessee 7-259. Green Bay Packers - Rain Man - Otito Ogbonnia, DT, UCLA |

This guy's gonna probably go undrafted due to off-field concerns (several of them, in fact) but this late in the game, who cares?
Jack Jones, CB - Arizona State I could really see the Chiefs looking his way. Really strong possibility as an NCB and hybrid player, especially if he can add a little weight. There's a DE and a TE I also like quite a bit here but if I were the Bucs sitting this deep in the 7th I'd take my chances on the high value position and a 3rd/4th round talent who slipped due to off-field issues. |
So with that, my squads are a rap:
NYJ Haul: #4: Evan Neal, OT, Alabama #8: Travon Walker, EDGE, Georgia #35: Andrew Booth Jr, CB, Clemson #38: Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn State #69: Tariq Woolen, CB, UTSA 111: Calvin Austin III, WR, Memphis 117: Darrian Beavers, LB, Cincinnati 146: Dohnovan West, IOL, Arizona State 163: Matthew Butler, DT, Tennessee That's a BUNCH. And it's gonna score well, IMO. Still don't love the Dotson pick but a fan of the rest. Tampa's picks: 27: Zion Johnson, G - Boston College 60: DeMarvin Leal, DL - A&M 91: Kenneth Walker III, RB - MSU 133: Rasheed Walker, OT - PSU 249: Zamir White, RB - UGA 262: Jack Jones, CB - ASU Just not enough draft capital to do too much damage. I took Walker before Fournette signed so I probably should've gone a different direction there (especially with White falling). I probably should've actually snaked Austin away from the Jets or Dulcich away from the Ravens. So yeah - don't love the Kenneth Walker pick. I'm pretty sure Logan Hall going the pick before Leal is gonna hurt quite a bit. Leal may actually end up falling into the late 3rd with as little buzz as there is around him. It's an okay draft. Nothing spectacular. I just never felt like it came together as well as I'd hoped it would. |
With the way we’ve scored these in the past, I might add to it and compare the difference in slots to draft value to determine surplus draft point value this year. It might take a little longer but will give an even better measurement over simply the slots they were drafted in.
