It’s not like Mahomes had a Kelce when he was setting FBS records in college. He’s also played well in several NFL games without him.
I would bet that last year’s receiving weapons are the weakest that Mahomes ever has (declining Kelce, Rice and a bunch of guys who can’t run routes or catch the ball).
The chemistry that Mahomes has with Kelce will be tough to replace, but we’ve already seen how they respond to losing an elite weapon. They just did it a different way. And got better.
