If we take Nicks I will donate $100 to Chiefsplanet.

ChiefsCountry 04-27-2008 12:56 PM

Johnston from Gardner-Webb is still available as well.

chiefs1111 04-27-2008 12:56 PM

Why is he worth a chance? He has been in constant trouble during his college career and is a malcontent in the locker room.

You want to bring a cancer like that in your locker room? fuck that, guys like that hurt team chemistry.

It's not like you'd actually pay up, so you jinxed yourself. Good job.

Mecca 04-27-2008 12:57 PM

If you want a chance on a OT, how about Barry Richardson he has all the talent and isn't a douchebag.

clyde05 04-27-2008 12:57 PM

the bucs have 82 qbs now

eazyb81 04-27-2008 12:57 PM

Marcus Howard is a great pick by Indy in the 5th round. Perfect LB for their scheme.

EyePod 04-27-2008 12:58 PM

So did anyone watch the video responses to our picks? Herm and Bill did all of the talking. Carl just said one quick thing. If this draft pans out next season, do we see Carl taking either a back seat or just him getting out of here? I'm crossing my fingers....

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-27-2008 12:58 PM

I like the Johnson pick by the Bucs.

alnorth 04-27-2008 12:58 PM

Come on Jets, Nicks is a good fella and its a late 5th rounder. Take a chance!

There goes Ainge to NY Jets.

banyon 04-27-2008 12:59 PM

Ainge to the JETS

Run on QB's!

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-27-2008 12:59 PM

Jets take Ainge. Solid pick as well.

the Talking Can 04-27-2008 12:59 PM

I love how you just chose to ignore the reasons I posted about why he's not worth a roll of the dice.

Keep douchebags like that out of our locker room. He's the last thing we need, and everyone realizes that except you.

Mecca 04-27-2008 01:01 PM

Yea that's what we need, we just traded 1 player who couldn't behave himself....we need another one!

Hammock Parties 04-27-2008 01:02 PM

It's a sixth-rounder. Take a gamble and have some faith that your head coach and put his head on straight.

If not, you're out a sixth-rounder. Big whoop.

Character isn't really an emphasis for GOATSE, in his life or other people's. Hence the LJ love, too.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-27-2008 01:02 PM

Owen Schmitt, Mack Strong's replacement.

EyePod 04-27-2008 01:03 PM

We need a FB and there goes an AMAZING one.

Basileus777 04-27-2008 01:03 PM

Schmitt to Seattle

Mecca 04-27-2008 01:03 PM

Um I like Richardson and Keith more actually.....I think Keith would be a great RG and Richardson has a ton of talent.

This is just my own opinion, but I think Herm started taking over the football side shortly after the 2006 season. And there've been signs all this offseason that Carl's role is less than it was, he's had less of a presence in press conferences, etc. He's still a part of it, but I think Clark Hunt supports Herm in football decisions, the way things are now, moreso than Carl.

That's just speculation, of course, and could be completely wrong...

Coach 04-27-2008 01:03 PM

Hahaha. Saints took Nicks.

Mecca 04-27-2008 01:04 PM

The Saints take the risk on Nicks.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-27-2008 01:04 PM

Carl Nicks to the Saints.

Gat damn.

EyePod 04-27-2008 01:04 PM

Yep. :-/

the Talking Can 04-27-2008 01:04 PM

Nicks th hoodlum to nO lol

Hammock Parties 04-27-2008 01:04 PM

Nicks, HOF 2025 with the Saints

Nicks will make Reggie Bush a Pro Bowler.

OK, take Richardson. Goddammit.

But it's not "just" a 6th round pick. Yeah, that's what we give up for him, but anyone who's played sports knows that one malcontent can completely ruin a locker room.

And luckily the Saints just took him, so this conversation is over.

alnorth 04-27-2008 01:04 PM

markk 04-27-2008 01:05 PM

i am sure that guy will do great on bourbon street

Mecca 04-27-2008 01:05 PM

LOL he moves to the guy like in Richardson.

KC kid 04-27-2008 01:06 PM

I like Eric Young to play guard

Hammock Parties 04-27-2008 01:07 PM

OK, Richardson, Young or Mehlhaff at 170. DO IT!

Mecca 04-27-2008 01:07 PM

Young wouldn't bother me here either....

I still like some of these LB's that haven't been picked...

Oh shit....

If he gets totally smashed, it's gonna be a very interesting day in NOLA.

Basileus777 04-27-2008 01:09 PM

The Giants are having a real solid draft, especially considering they're picking last in each round.

I think you are dead on. Speculation is that Carl will be stepping down in the next few months. On Friday Bob Gretz, Carls radio sideline boy was fired. Kendall Gammons will be the new Chiefs Fox Radio sideline reporter and the main contact to the Chiefs. Changes are coming fast and furious at One Arrowhead Drive.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-27-2008 01:10 PM

Jonathan Goff is not a Cover 2 LB at all. I like him as a player, but that's completely the wrong scheme for him.

EyePod 04-27-2008 01:10 PM

Wow... right now our FB is Chris Manderino....

His feet aren't quick enough to play tackle, but he'd make a good OG though

For the love of god, you don't draft FB's good ones can be easily had in UDFA, alot of teams don't even use them.

Frosty 04-27-2008 01:11 PM

Chargers are having a curious draft. :shake:

Hammock Parties 04-27-2008 01:11 PM

He's a strong mauling run blocker, generally if he gets his hands on the guy their done for the play.

The good running teams do. I still wish we never got rid of Richardson....

Coach 04-27-2008 01:13 PM

Can go anywhere. They could get a LB, a O-Line, Kicker, or a QB either of Woodson or the other guy who's name escapes me for the moment.

Arizona made a big mistake of moving him from G to T, since he didn't have the footwork for the position. That's why he sucked at the time, plus it is Arizona, after all....

Remember the thread about how Tony Richardson was the key to our offense and him leaving was why it got worse?

It was one of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen in my life.

Hah, you know, that's really what proctor is: the eternal noob.

I mean hell, he's been whining about the PPL for, what, 7 years running. The noob who's mad he isn't part of the clique that actually only exists in his own mind.

Hillis is more of an H-Back, and would be good value with a 6th or 7th.
