Holy shit.

We get Mr. Irrelevant.

Anyway, sorry I was in class when the list came out. I'm going to eat dinner, watch a few DVR'd episodes of "The Haney Project" and then update the list.

ChiefsCountry goes on the clock after I update the list, or at least no later than Noon tomorrow.

You have the first comp pick.

Jesus Christ.

The Patriots have six picks in the first 100.

Is there a better run franchise in all of sports?

I'm wondering if OTW knew what was going on when he got the Pats and Lions :hmmm:

The Lions were drew at random.

I did however pick the Pats, figuring they would have a good number of picks. Didn't realize it would be this many.

Duh.

It's been a LONG ****ing day.

Played Gateway National with 30-40 MPH winds today.

The Patriots will likely let Ben Watson walk next year, so they might as well grab a possible replacement with this pick.

This guy is a prototypical, pass-catching H back, and could create some matchup problems for opposing defenses. Dude played SEVEN different positions in college, but will likely be asked to do nothing but catch the ball in the NFL. Tons of upside, though his age (25) is a slight negative.

The Patriots select:

James Casey, TE, Rice

The Bengals were not expected this player to be around this late. He did run a slow time in the 40 but he produced in the Big Ten. Cedric Benson has a ton of talent but his boat parties in Austin are a concern. I like this guy alot and I think I am getting another starter for the Bengals.

The Cincinnati Bengals select:
Shonn Greene, RB Iowa

PM Floppy.

what a steal

In the first 100 picks...

23 PATRIOTS (OnTheWarpath58) - James Laurinaitis, ILB, Ohio State
34 PATRIOTS (OnTheWarpath58) - Clint Sintim, OLB, Virginia
47 PATRIOTS (OnTheWarpath58) - Patrick Chung, SS, Oregon
58 PATRIOTS (OnTheWarpath58) - Jairus Byrd, CB, Oregon
89 PATRIOTS (OnTheWarpath58) - Kraig Urbik, OG, Wisconsin
97 PATRIOTS (OnTheWarpath58) - James Casey, TE, Rice

I'd say that's two great picks (James L & Urbik), three good picks (Sintim, Chung, & Byrd), and one "eh" (Casey).

Thoughts, anyone else, for OTW's six picks for the Pats inside the first 100?

ChiefsCountry 03-23-2009 10:08 PM

I like the Casey pick. He is a Patriot type pick. I watched Rice to watch Dillard and Casey just popped out at you.

bdeg 03-23-2009 10:10 PM

You like Laurinaitis that much at 23? After taking Mayo last year(yes I know there are 2 ILB's in a 3-4)? Don't think he's maxed out?

Sintim's my favorite pick out of those.

I WIN THE DRAFT, MOTHER****ERS!

LMAO

OnTheWarpath15 03-23-2009 10:15 PM

In all seriousness, I'm not sure what else I could have done better with those 6 picks.

The Patriots would be the 1st team in the league to have all those 1st/2nd rounders in the LB corp, but really, there wasn't any other positions of value when I made those picks.

bdeg 03-23-2009 10:19 PM

I guess I wasn't taking into account what was available, just looking at the #s. Oops
