I was reading that Rhodes was unhappy with the play calling and personnel on the field.
Either way, typical chickenshit move by a chickenshit coach....throwing his coaches under the bus to save his ass.

Correct. Mangino has blown a couple of games with his awful play calling, and probably more by just not using players to their strengths. Sam Richardson is more of a running threat than passing, so what's Mangino do? Doesn't let him run any more and decides to just throw passes and not even utilize his good RB's like he should.

The guy Mangino wanted to start was benched, Lanning did a hell of a lot better. The entire offense looked a hell of a lot better, which in turn helped the defense perform better. Whole team ended up looking good against #2 Baylor after the QB change.

Lanning threw a long TD pass against TCU and Mangino pulled him, even though previous games he was being used more and more in running packages. He just didn't want a QB controversy.

It was on the radio from the local Iowa State reporter.

I was shocked as anyone that there are people that actually cover your shit program(s).

You gave up more yards to Texas Tech than anyone had in the history of their program.

You won't be power 5 as soon as Kansas leaves the Big 12.

ISU and KSU are toast.

The Jayhawks have atleast won the coin toss the last two weeks.

Weird, because our defense has held 6 out of 7 offenses under their average. Baylors starters had to play the whole game, didn't take their pads off at halftime like they did against you clowns. Also every team we've lost to have a combined 3 losses, and those three losses are against Baylor, TCU, and Oklahoma.

7 years in and your team is still giving up 800 yards in a single game.

No wonder Mangino quit that mess.

Bambi 10-26-2015 11:41 PM

lol, even the players weren't told about Mangino walking out on them.

There's also players who believe Sturdy should have been the OC since he got here. And you're literally the only person I've heard who claims Mangino quit. His son still coaches at Iowa State too.

Of course he quit. He's accomplished more in his pinky figure than Iowa state has in football.

Once he realized how stupid your head coach was he bolted. At least that's what's the Iowa state reporter said. I have to be honest, I was only have listening. No one cares about Iowa state.

The American Athletic Conf is playing some good football lately. KSU and ISU will fit in nicely there.
