There are going to be some damned good FA's available this year.

I'll be the one who says it: I would gamble on Alfonzo Dennard here.

O.city 04-28-2012 03:13 PM

Has Billy Winn been picked? No one answered me while ago.

Direckshun 04-28-2012 03:13 PM

Cam Johnson is also still on the board.

As is Chase Minnifield. Weird.

Yes. Better player than Prince who was a 1st round pick.

Mecca 04-28-2012 03:14 PM

Now I saw a scout talk on Minnifield basically said he wasn't an NFL player.

O.city 04-28-2012 03:14 PM

Seems that Winn would be a perfect 34 DE?

Winn and Dennard in the 7th would be great IMO.

Polk is big and slow and he has a bad knee that won't get better.

Direckshun 04-28-2012 03:14 PM

So is WR Dwight Jones. 6'3", 200 lbs receiver out of North Carolina.

Figures. Some midrounder I always pick in the CP Mock always goes undrafted.

Direckshun 04-28-2012 03:15 PM

SS Antonio Allen.

Travis Lewis, not a fit for our system.

Direckshun 04-28-2012 03:16 PM

ILB Audie Cole.

CB Ryan Steed, Furman.

USC's DaJohn Harris -- any reason this guy isn't drafted, Mecca?

it took DaJohn 5 years to get on the field, he's ok but nothing more than a rotational guy.

Strongside 04-28-2012 03:18 PM

there goes winn.

Direckshun 04-28-2012 03:19 PM

OT Andrew Datko, Florida State -- wow. This guy was a starting LT at FSU before injury.

DE Kheston Randall, Texas. Perfect fit for the 3-4, not sure if he's two-gap material though.

OT Nate Potter, Boise State, and OT Matt Reynolds, BYU -- Saccopo cries.

TE Deangelo Peterson, LSU
WR Jeff Fuller, Texas A&M

I really wonder if someone will take Burfict.

Direckshun 04-28-2012 03:20 PM

NT Fangupo, out of BYU

Michigan's WR Junior Hemingway.

Sounds like Stanzi is the third QB again. Looks like Quinn has already passed him on the depth chart.

The teachings of Rand suggest that if you are not willing to do the work necessary to create your own draft board, I should simply take mine and go home. No need to have someone unwilling to work to coast on everything I've put together.

Frosty 04-28-2012 03:21 PM

Has there ever been this many kickers/punters taken in a draft?

Titty Meat 04-28-2012 03:22 PM

Tommy Streeter

Considering Crennel and the OC both love Quinn do you think this is surprising.

7th round time. This is where legends are made.

Direckshun 04-28-2012 03:22 PM

OLB Donte Paige-Moss, North Carolina -- awesome.

CB Coryell Judie, Texas A&M

Prince is dealing with the a broken foot he suffered in training camp last August that forced him miss the preseason and first nine games of the season.

He is still dealing with foot problems and has been held out of drills this month. Frustrating first pick.

Direckshun 04-28-2012 03:23 PM

Polling participants in this discussion...

What do you guys prefer to do in the 7th, generally:

Take a guy who's fallen seven rounds?

Or take a mad scientist experiment on some guy from bum**** nowhere you think you can develop?

Edit: Chiefs have historically clearly preferred the latter approach.

Blick 04-28-2012 03:24 PM

We will probably take a flyer on the only ILB we brought in for a visit, Shawn Loiseau out of powerhouse Merrimack. Small school guy. Hard worker. Pioli is probably in love.

There is no way my liberal friend just quoted Ayn Rand.

BTW I got Dennard as my #1 7th round pick call me a homer.

The Colts have taken a QB, RB, two WR's, two TE's, and a OT... plus a true NT. They've completely changed their team in one draft.

I just kind of perceive it as they are really taking their time in developing him. It's comforting that they have more confidence in him than they had in the QBs that were still on the board today.

Titty Meat 04-28-2012 03:28 PM

Dennard
Molk
Brewster
Streeter

He's a ballsy QB. He'll make an NFL roster.

Direckshun 04-28-2012 03:31 PM

So strange this year.

All the trades, probably the most in NFL history.

Chiefs never moved. Not once.

We got a pick from the Pats like two years ago. That's it.

Not many Centers(4) taken so far.. I am shocked that Slowey went ahead of him... some team is going to get an absolute steal with Molk this late. (or as UDFA)

I admit I can't quite figure out what I like about him so much, but he just has some intangibles that are apparent even on youtube vids.

He's got a pretty good arm, though I admit he loses the spiral on his deep throws.

Pitbull is such a god damn tool.

HIS NAME IS ****ING PITBULL

Direckshun 04-28-2012 03:36 PM

The guys on Sirius (moving the chains) were saying that the center depth is really good in this draft.

JohnnyHammersticks 04-28-2012 03:37 PM

Like to see us get an ILB like Travis Lewis from Oklahoma with this next pick for depth at ILB and ST. Or take a chance with Burfict even.
