As well it should be. Sabermetricians want to believe that pitchers and hitters are just robots that you plug and play into a formula, but some people just feel pressure more than others, and Jackson, like Lynn, looks like a talented, but gutless, choking mother****er.

It's rare that it shows up at the big league level though.

Most of the time, those nerves will weed guys out even in the bus leagues. Once your livelihood depends on the games, most of the chokers will go ahead and choke.

A guy like Jackson - who looks like a major leaguer all the way through AAA - comes along with some regularity, but it's not exactly routine.
