It's time to address the John Tait situation. The Bears think highly of this kid and are going to try and slide him over to the right side of the line. And if for whatever reason he doesn't work there, has the potential to be a bone crushing guard on the Bears line.
The Bears select TJ Lang OT Eastern Michigan |

Iowa RB Shonn Greene ran forty-yard dash times of 4.50 and 4.54 at the Hawkeyes' Pro Day. It's a huge improvement from his 4.72 at the Combine. Greene also posted a 39" vertical (a two-inch improvement) and a 10'6" broad jump (five inches better), so clearly he's been working since a sub-par showing in Indy. Greene may have gotten himself back into the middle of the second-round mix. He's going to be great in the pros mark it down. I might have to take him in my fantasy draft, although not if he goes to the bengals:) My biggest concern is that he stays motivated after a year or two of success. |

If Direckshun doesn't pick again in his 24 hours.....I say we give him Chase Patton.

Ah.... back in the saddle again.
The Giants need a lot of depth at LB. They're thin this year and they may lose as many as two starters next year. The Giants select Gerald McRath, Southern Miss. |
On to Round 4.
Just as a heads-up, I'm leaving town on Thursday night, and won't be back until late Sunday night - and will have no internet access during the weekend. I've asked Mecca to keep the board updated if possible. Also, any picks of mine that come up between 5:00pm on Thursday night, and 9:00pm on Sunday night will be handled by Hamas. |
Looking at the Cowboys Defense they don't have a true 3-4 NT. Ratliff is a little smaller and should be a DE. He did a decent job but they don't have a true plugger. Also the Cowboy's traditonally have done well throughout getting guys from D2 and lower. Some of their stars from the past have came from this route. Linebacker is a concern but I like this guy better.
Dallas Cowboys select Sammie Lee Hill, DT, Stillman |

I was hoping he'd be around in round 5. Oh well, he wasn't going to be my pick anyway. The mo****er that I'm going to pick is a guy that not only has good production from a big conference, but he has a lot of experience at several positions on the line, and he has very good intangibles to boot. He's a Patriots kind of player, which means that now he's going to be a Chiefs kind of player. He can legitimately play either tackle spot, or slide inside to guard. The Kansas City Chiefs select Gerald Cadogan, OT, Penn State University |
Cadogan was my other choice for the Boys, nice pick for the Chiefs.

Mecca and Direckshun ****ed me out my 1st 2 choices for my 4th round selection. That's okay, I still think I'm getting pretty good value here.
The Rams select Tyrone McKenzie OLB South Florida |
This is where the draft really slows down for my two teams. The Browns and Vikes combined for 7 picks in the top 100. They combine for only four more picks in the rest of the draft. On to the pick, the Browns have some serious issues at RB. They've added a TE and RT in free agency but lost a RB. That leaves old man river, Jamal Lewis. With their fourth round pick the Cleveland Browns select Kory Sheets, RB, Purdue . Sheets is a good compliment to Lewis. Now the Browns follow the trend of the rest of the league and have created their own two back attack.

With the loss of Rocky Bernard in free agency, Seattle is once again thin up the middle. I have a few options here, but I am going to take a gamble on a player that looked like he had what it took to be elite before a disappointing junior season. He's not a fit for every defense, but I feel his agility and pass-rush abilities will work out well in the Seattle defense.
The Seattle Seahawks select Ricky Jean-Francois, DT, LSU |
Looking at the Bengals offseason we got Coles to compliment Ocho Cinco and in the draft we got the best pass rusher, two great lineman to help keep Palmer healthy and a new running back. Now I am going to address the middle of field in the passing game. This player I have rated as the best tight end in the draft, he would have been a sure fire first round pick next year. His knocks are that he comes from a spread offense and didnt have to block much. I just think the Bengals got a steal in the 4th round.
The Cincinnati Bengals select Cornelius Ingram, TE, Florida |
