I know enough to make a pretty educated guess.

I suppose it comes down to subjectiveness, but I like te darker avenue and direction they are going. Absolutely a nice contrast to the marvel world. Man of Steel was a nice revamp of a badly performing movie series.. could have been better but solid effort. Daredevil was more of a badly directed movie i think... but i think this movie will do good.

I liked everything about that trailer except for Eisenberg. Not liking the way he played that.

I'm the opposite: He's more believable than a Spacey or Hackman type in this iteration of the DC Universe.

Really? Hackman I can see, but really that old bastard can play anything. Kevin Spacey though, that dude plays a sociopath as good as anybody. He's too old for the role now though.

Clancy Brown is the best Luthor voice.

For those interested, here's the Batman/Superman panel from SDCC, hosted by the always annoying Aisha Tyler.

Both Hackman and Spacey are excellent actors and did well in their respective movies. But since DC is going for a darker, grittier, somewhat more "realistic" and "grounded" portrayal of their characters, the comedic aspect that was played up in previous versions would be very out of place, IMO.

Clancy Brown is one of the more talented voice actors (and actors) in the world. Why he's not a superstar, especially in the latest comic adaptions, is beyond me.

I'm wondering did Zach Snyder have all this planned out or is this movies setup a direct response to the MoS critics who didn't like all the destruction porn?

Affleck was just announced as the director of the Batman stand alone film in a few years. That's pretty cool. As a director, he's certainly extremely talented

Snyder said this response inspired him to explore this plot point in the movie. I think tackling this plot point through Bruce Wayne's point of view is a perfect way to revisit the issue within the universe.

Yeah, I watched the first one. It was terrible. This one looks worse. Eisenberg as Luthor looks even worse than I assumed he would be. The visuals look every bit as intrusive and overblown as I have come to expect from Snyder. Tons of cheese and themes that are practically guaranteed to be better addressed in the next few years by Marvel.

Maybe in like 20 years or something, DC will finally circle back around and do Superman right.

That said.... I hope like hell I'm wrong. After the shittiness of the first I hoped so hard they could salvage a franchise starting with the second one. Looks like my hopes are going to be dashed again.

I liked the trailer. Did not look near as bad as I was predicting..

Only thing that bugged me, is when supes is flying down in the beginning his cape is still in the position of him flying up.

And I love the capes are coming and a throwback to red son batman.

I love the shot of Supes when he shows up to save the flood victims. So regal.
