A few of us said we wouldn't do shit in the playoffs. Sadly that's one thing I wish I was not right about but unfortunately some of us saw this coming.

We've looked like shit for over a month and have been hot stink at scoring RISP for over 2 months..

You have to score more than 2 ****ing runs a game. This is the 3rd game out of 4 that we've only scored 2 runs.

Everyone is swinging for the fences and probably rightly so since we can't seem to score any other way.

Ned went into "I don't give a shit" mode in early September and imo, it cost us. We sat back, feeling all big and fat like we were entitled to something. Now we are going home after round 1 of the playoffs.

The "Meltdown Planet" will be countered with the "Management and Player Nut-Huggers" fighting it out. One side will show raw emotion and focus on life since August, the other side will try to sounds calm, cool, collected, and sports-smart.

With he Chiefs being, well, the Chiefs, now this, this could be fun to watch...

You saw it coming in every game they've ever won too, dumbass. You always see "it" coming and then brag when you're "right."

You can pick apart all these little details, but we just aren't playing as well as they are. It's not like we have one great unit being dragged down by another. They're hitting better and pitching better. All of these teams left can win it all. If you don't have your A game you're going to pay. And we are.

Played with expectations and pressure for the first time as well and couldn't handle it...they were shook.

Yeah, I used to push back at posters who are lashing out with insane crazy-talk about how a couple players didn't care in their AB, or our pitcher isn't really trying, or how we need to DFA someone who is actually having a fine year, etc.

I've since realized that I just need to let them have that, its part of the fan grieving process. If someone says something reeruned the day after when the anger should have worn off, thats when I've gotta say something.
