I never wanted Geno. I was fine with Alex coming on board to help right the ship. Even for two seconds.

Well, sure. Semien made some nice deep throws.

Like I said, if smith plays better the first 3 quarters we probably don't have overtime

Or if Gaines didn't give up 2 TD's and 160 yards to Sanders on a handful of plays

As much as my hate of Alex Smith can cloud my judgement, he really stepped up last night when we needed him to. He still sucks and needs replaced.

Most fair and accurate assessment I have seen.

Just stop! Gaines got burned, but don't think THAT makes up for Alex being a ****ing boring, piece of shit!

Alex Smith $14,100,000 $3,600,000 $0 $100,000 $0 $17,800,000

Phillip Gaines $610,000 $137,278 $0 $8,500 $0 $755,778

840+ replies, I'd say you're right, it has been a hit. Let's just hope it results in Alex being sent packing.

People can say what they want, Alex is a decent quarterback.

Stats say otherwise

Now now... lets not be too hasty. I'd say that decent is more than an applicable word for Alex Smith. I would go as far as saying that at points in his career... he was above average.

He is 32, he isn't going to get any better, and he is what he is... just plain average. It is time to move on.

Nickhead 11-29-2016 01:13 AM

alex is a six. he should be an 8 though. out of ten.

TigeRRUppeRRcut 11-29-2016 07:14 AM

We would have to miss the playoffs in order for there to even be any consideration of moving on from Smith

"I have respect for the guy," Andy Reid said. "Very unappreciated outside these walls. ... Everybody is down on him but he comes through and he shows his mental toughness and pushes through."

And you listen to the other player interviews and how they have his back, it would have something very dramatic for Smith to be off the roster by 2018

I'm am not an Alex fan, but I agree that it will take a LOT for him to not be back next year. Stats are stats, and most times won't even reflect on the outcome of a game. What is he, 18-3 over the last 21 games? Unless he is blowing games, I cant see them dumping him.
