LMAO

The Chiefs had a turnover taken away from a BS penalty.

They had the lead and a chance to put the game away before Kelce fumbled.

The Bengals drop came on a play that should've been OPI for a blatant pick play by Chase.

What game did you ****ing watch?

One drop. And let's just ignore Kelce's uncharacteristic fumble and the other mistakes, right?

No one's won in Cincinnati this year, and it appeared that the Bills were on their way to getting smoked too. I like KC's chances at home.

The Bengals game bothers me because AGAIN we couldn't get any pressure on one of the most sacked QBs in football. And I cannot even begin to figure out why.

And OBJ got de-pantsed in that game.

So yeah, the Bengals are a concern. But it ain't college football bro. There are gonna be 3-5 very good teams in the playoffs every year and you're gonna have to beat 2-3 of them.

Is it ever easy? No.

Is it ever impossible when your QB is Patrick Mahomes? Get the **** outta here with that nonsense.

Good thing they aren’t in the playoffs then.

Well, unfortunately they're still examples that this team as a whole still hasn't learned their ****ing lesson when it comes to lapsing in concentration after taking a big lead and their inexplicable stagnation in the middle of games. I'd figured after the Bengals debacle we'd finally be done with that type of nonsense in the Reid/Mahomes era but instead it's flaring up even more often.

This thread below encapsulates the general feeling that Bills fans have right now, if anyone is wondering.

The Bills have been through the gauntlet this season and quite frankly it feels like the season is over for us.

Not really sure I agree with that line of thinking. I get it everything is fresh, but getting to a SB is not a given. Not playing until they either win a SB or lose because they have fewer points than their opponents is foolish. What does sitting out accomplish? The fans suffer as do the players as they may never get another chance. Plus if Buffalo wins it all Hamlin gets a ring. I get it’s tough to see, but they need to play on. Not doing so benefits no one (outside of KC and possibly Cincinnati).

I refuse to accept any sort of pessimism. Our Chiefs are the fastest horse in the race. They're Ferris Bueller. Super man. The Murderers Row of football. If a person isn't optimistic about the Chiefs winning the Super Bowl, then they're Eeyore. I choose to be Tigger.

Sassy Squatch 01-03-2023 06:23 PM

The Special Teams going full reerun with increasing frequency on a week to week basis doesn't really help matters either.

If KC has HFA and only has to face one of Buffalo/Cincinnati, I'm definitely optimistic.

The fact that no one has faced the offense with all weapons available could be a nice advantage too.

I'd like to know what the conversations between the coaches and owners were like. Seems likely the Bills requested the suspension because their guys understandably couldn't go and the Bengals graciously accepted the proposal.

In that context a Bills forfeit seems like the obvious solution. Unless the Bills are willing to resume the game, which it seems they are not.

No argument there. If the Chiefs do get knocked out, I can see it coming due to a Butker missed kick or one of our reruned returners fumbling away a game.

KC does this and they do it a lot and have for a few years. Doesn’t change the fact that they play poorly against bad teams and play significantly better against the good teams. How they play against the bad ones is not indicative of how they will perform in the playoffs.

They aren’t unbeatable and can easily lose to any playoff team, but they are just as capable of beating any of them as well. To assume they will lose because of their struggles with bottom feeders is silly based on past performances.

Sassy Squatch 01-03-2023 06:28 PM

Hmm. If Thuney is already back at practice the pessimism is dialed back quite a bit. OBJ is a worthless lumbering oaf without an All Pro G to hold his jock for him but if we don't have to suffer Allegretti at LG against teams with actual pass rushing talent we should be okay on offense.

McDermott was the one who walked across the field and spoke to Bill's coaches during the 5 minute warm up period. I assume he offered to push the game. He Akari later went to the Bill locker room to talk to them.

They had an interesting take on his high sack rate last night. Said a lot of them happen on third down when he intentionally holds the ball longer, since the yards lost at that point are worth the possibility of extending the drive. I like that thinking.

He seems to get the ball out quick against us. Wonder if it's not more of a coverage than rush issue.

That was my read too. McDermott requested to Taylor that they suspend play.
