Just finished the first and second compendiums in about 5 days.... I've enjoyed it, but don't know if I'd have made it that far had I been waiting between issues.

Mrs. Radar and I were both surprised they made it through the finale. When we’d heard all the chatter about mass carnage we assumed they were both gone, along with Beth, either Maggie or Glen and maybe even Judith.

They just loaded the prison up with a ton of new "red shirts", bet most of the cast remains alive through next season.

So I just re-watched seasons 1 and 2 over the last few weeks. I remember feeling like there was a lot of bullshit filler in season 2. But man was it more exciting than 3. 3 is the worst season and it had the potential to be the coolest. It it weren't for Michonne and Merle ( as actors mostly ) it would have been a total waste. Maybe they'll call mulligan on season 3?

Swear i never thought i'd get so into a network zombie drama, but somehow when my son was recently home from Camp Pendleton, we watched, almost literally, 72 straight hours of this show during the marathon, interrupted only by a trip to WWZ, a restaurant, an afternoon fishing trip and one bar.

Never thought i'd get so into a televised zombie drama and neither did anyone else... but there we were, eating ice cream and drinking beer lol... this show is honestly addictive, the zombies are a bit lame at times, and also the stories, like when i predicted long in advance that when they let the zombies out of the barn, the last one would be a child for drama's sake, or that the govs child was somehow alive and prolly a zombie.

Nonetheless, this show just hooks you somehow, i'm excited about season 4... and i sooo rarely get into regularly scheduled programs, i usually hate to feel tied to some weekly tv show outside of SNL, but this one is actually worth my time.

That said, it rawcks. Its starting to settle in that the characters are cast spot on, so many are indelible. Even Carol, who doesn't seem to do a lot, conveys a world weary, yet concerned and maternal, quality so well with just a glance. The kid playing Carl makes me curse that PoS kid on Falling skies all the more. The additions from The Wire are great to a man.

This show has never been about zombies, but about survival. The zombies are the dangerous scenery, much like the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park, the tornadoes in Twister, and Yul Brynner in Westworld. The real villains are other people.
