Maybe if wouldn't of went all benneck or big flop Moore last night and actually contributed something of substance he might of got the benefit of the doubt.

I think KU got the better end of the officiating last night but let's not pretend like KU got all the calls. Both of Floppy McWhitekid's charges were crap and angel hacksalot Rodriguez should have been called for a shitload of hacks and riding the ball handler. And Releford got picked on for KU in a similar manner to Gipson.

Ceej 02-12-2013 05:29 PM

No reason to mention the refs last night when the margin of defeat was 21 points.

He had a really good game vs. ISU and might have given Withey some fits. I think Henriquez was a better matchup for the Cats anyway.

Until Withey jammed it in his face hole and gave him a fat lip.

I don't see anyone pretending that....

Rele and Angel both hack a lot, and I'm surprised both don't foul out often.

2 disinterested parties I watched the game with (a SDSU and a WSU fan) both thought the same of the fouls on Gipson.

JO has really disappointed this year, injury or not. He had real promise after last year's big steps. At this point I'd just as soon play DJ.

WSU fans don't like most KU fans.

I went there, graduated, ran track and have no allegiance to them. They've done some pretty underhanded shit to screw over my wife professionally, and she has a PhD from there. Now we've been in Lawrence for 12 years and she's up for Full Professor at Kansas.

Years ago there was a plan to set up a joint biomaterials research center, and it was going to be a partnership between KU, KSU, WSU and Pitt State. Politicians in Wichita got a hold of it and screwed KU, KSU and PSU. Now the state has spent millions on millions and they've never innovated a thing.

While I'm excited as the next guy, the transition from high school basketball to a college like KU is a huge leap. It takes time to adjust for the majority of players.

Hope that helps.

I guess that explains why Oklahoma and KSU split the football Championship this year.

Nice try though

Weird thing is, it didn’t look like an obvious ACL tear type injury or a Lattimore – he just banged his knee into the basket. Scariest part was how he was screaming while down on the court and was carried off. I thought it might be him getting freaked out about hurting his knee and turn out to be nothing too serious, but later reports had him going to the hospital in a wheelchair with a towel over his head.

Trolls continue to compare football to basketball. They are played with different balls, they have different rules.

Hideously dumb. KU beat KSU twice in basketball. That was not allowed back in 2005 when OU tied KU without going to Allen.

This is about KU 2005 basketball vs. KSU 2013 basketball. Introducing new (and irrelevant) comparisons will be useless.

KC_Connection 02-13-2013 11:53 AM

If it's a tie in the standings, it will still be a split/share championship like the other years. The team that KU really has to worry about there is OSU, though, not KSU considering their schedule.

It does! Just like Middle School Ball to Varsity ball, you have a Freshman & JV teams to play your way into the Varsity level. It takes a special talent to go from MS to varsity HS BB unless the varsity team really does suck.

My grandson was expected by many of local fans and citizens to play Varsity to start the year off, didn't happen. I knew it was a Hugh Hugh step for him, go from 7th grade to varsity is NUTS.

As an 8th grader this year, the coaches have brought him along very well, starting every Fr. & JV games and playing sparingly on varsity until of late. The last 5 games he's been a starter on varsity, but you could tell he was no way ready to start the year. I can clearly see now he can play with the big boys, but he needs some weight gain and strength.

FTR, the last 3 games he's averaging 15 pts & 9 boards, not bad for young'n. :D

Just have to keep him hungry and humble!

Yeah, me too. I think he'll come around. And he's willing to work on defense. Releford looked like crap his freshman year also, and this team isn't doing much without him.

Another positive is Self is getting him some minutes. Releford didn't get nearly the minutes Adams is getting and then redshirted his sophomore year.

I don't think ISU and OSU are automatic Ls. We can beat both of those teams, it's just a matter of who's hot. Hopefully Monday got us some confidence back.

We gotta get by UT first. That goofy named PG is back and I think they're playing better.

Its not so much whos hot. JFC. we could get off a ball screen or out on the perimeter at OU... I have seen more defense in a mexican whore house than what KU has put on the court lately...

IF we cant get of the screens and put someone in the face of the wide open 3's both ISU and OSU can run us right of the gym in a hurry...

ROFL Been spending a lot of time there lately?

I don't disagree, but OSU in particular was especially hot that night. They miss a couple 3's and it is a different ballgame. Plus, to the point of that loss, we were the only team that OSU put up a shitload of 3's on, so we have some gamefilm and can gameplan for it a little better. And for ISU, once Self (finally) put Young on Niang, the game went much more smoothly. Now, I'm sure both ISU and OSU will be scheming for ways to beat us too, I don't think it is nearly the automatic loss/run off the court/never win again/OMG Marcus Morris ****ed your sister kind of thing you're suggesting.

OSU is a much better team than ISU. A lot more talent and they actually play defense. They wouldn't need the threes to fall at home to beat us.

ISU is pretty much all about that, though. If they hit their deep shots (and they usually do at home), they win. If they don't hit their deep shots (and they usually don't on the road), they lose.

Both games will be tough all the same. So will Baylor on the road for that matter. I just hope to grab one of them (and preferably OSU as that will probably win them the conference).

Wait Wut?ROFL

We will see, but right before the OSU game through the OU game, we were putrid as a Mexican donkey show on defense.

Maybe they took some pride in themselves and want to change that. They did much better "upsetting" "shooting out of thier minds" "refs bailed KU out" against KSU.

So we will see. They should run Texas off the court on Saturday in preps for Wednesday against OSU.
