How the hell does a serious neck injury like that take place without pads? I figured it was heat exhaustion or something...

The player taken from the practice field in Berea, Ohio on Saturday was Browns offensive lineman Ryan Miller.
According to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Miller was awake, alert, and had movement in his extremities. Acquired in the 2011 draft with the sixth-round pick that came to Cleveland with running back Peyton Hillis for quarterback Brady Quinn, Miller played in eight games last season. He was taken to the Cleveland Clinic main campus for further evaluation. |

"No contact" rarely means no contact. Even without pads, these guys are some of the more competitive people in the world, and it's hard to temper that during things of a competitive nature. Any number of things can cause a neck injury. Head to head contact, being run into, or (as silly as it sounds) hitting or being hit awkwardly by a sled. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 |
@adamteicher: I'm hearing Jeff Allen's injury doesn't appear to be serious. No word on when he could practice but it may not be long

@Jacobs71: “@scott_a_hughes: is Bray gonna make this team?” He should unless he does something bone headed off the field.
|
@Jacobs71: “@kevsbg: Is Alex Smith struggling with accuracy or strenght in his passes?” Both. Some of it is timing on the accuracy factor.
|
@Jacobs71: Don't like how often the WRs are waiting for the ball to get to them from Smith. #Chiefs

Cool. We traded for Matt Cassel. Again.
Thank God we never take chances at the QB position. We might actually have to deal with success if we ever did that. |
IT'S ONLY TRAINING CAMP, GIVE HIM TIME
