Cool the Chiefs are rumored to trade up and trade down. Gotta love the days before the draft

Yea, but it’s obvious this one is true, while the other was a dumb rumor based on the assumption that Ruggs could possibly make it to to twenties (he can’t).

Of course the Chiefs want to trade down with only 5 picks and in the range where talent level drops off and stays level well to the 60’s.

The problem is, so do the 49ers, Seahawks, and others in front of them.

Unfortunately, we will probably be stuck at 32.

I tend to think that Veach will take any tradedown scenario he gets because it will give him the resources needed to move around and get the guys he truly wants.

With so much talent between 1-60, I think the old Jimmy Johnson trade value chart is virtually out the window.

Well if they’re willing to go well below value, they might be able to get something done.

I guess we have to see who’s available before we can say whether that’s worth it though.

I feel like you guys are expecting Veach to trade down because you want him to.


He doesn't really do that though, instead he usually trades up and grabs who he wants and then Soren Petro loses his mind

With only 5 picks this year, Veach doesn't have any ammo in order to move up or move around.

It would be absolutely shocking to see him move up this year because he'd be drafting only 4 players in a very, very deep draft, which doesn't seem like a move he would make, especially considering that the Chiefs will need all of the cheap labor they can find for the foreseeable future.

Unless they trade Jones I guess. He could also trade future picks in next year's draft which might not have nearly as many good receivers. I guess we'll see.
