We need to put the Raiders down hard and fast and keep up the pressure, because we're sure as hell not going to get any love from the ref$. |
I’ve read a few pages, but not nearly all of the pages of this thread. I have a scenario i have not seen proposed yet that would be the best fair solution.
1) Play all games as scheduled for this week 18. That includes Buffalo and Cin. They both play their scheduled week 18 games. No ifs, ands, or buts. They play with no concessions to them for those games. This way no teams or fans of any teams have to make schedule changes. 2) Week 19, Buffalo plays at Cincinnati, only. That game would be played that Saturday or Sunday (Jan 14 or 15) when the wild card games would normally be played. Which day would make no difference to me. The wild card week is pushed back. The qualified playoff teams all get a bye week and the weekend off. The non-playoff qualifying teams, their seasons are over. They carry on with their off season activities 3). Wild card weekend is pushed back one week and starts week 19, Jan 21-23. The top seeds still get a bye and are off. 4) Division round, week 20, Jan 28-29. 5) Championship round, Feb 5 6) Super Bowl weekend, Feb 12, when originally scheduled. To my understanding, the is non-negotiable with the NFL. They will not move the Super Bowl date. The Super Bowl teams will both need to prep on the road as the Super Bowl media requirements would still be held as much as possible. Both teams would be dealing with the same requirements, so may the best team win at that point. |
Holy **** Bills board is depressing

the league is not moving wild-card weekend back for one game LMAO

If Buffalo forfeits the New England game, does that lock up a playoff spot for Patriots? Seems like that is way more controversial than KC getting the #1 seed. New England arguably doesn’t deserve a playoff spot, especially not handed to them on a silver platter.

I simply don't trust Goodell to do anything right or smart. |
Buffalo already got the league earlier this season to move their game vs Cleveland indoors in Detroit to a more favorable environment for their pass oriented offense.
Now they want an indefinite bereavement leave? Ridiculous. |

Question for y’all:
If the season put us in the shoes of the Bills and we were playing the Bengals in that game and Sneed suffered the same fate and the Chiefs chose not to continue the game and not to play it 1-2 days later… And if the season were in the same place as it is for the Bills - that is, likely to see the 1 seed slip away to your arch rival… What threads would we see on CP? Would people be calling for Reid’s head? Soft team? Fire EB? Clark Hunt’s fault? Rigged by the NFL? I’m leaving forever? Another wasted year of Mahomes? Frank Clark’s fault? Fire Spags because he put Sneed in a position to fail? I guess I just don’t think some of you would be feeling the same if the shoe were on the opposite foot. I have a lot of sympathy for Bills fans here because it’s a really disappointing and jarring development in their season, and it’s not like they’ve been a franchise blessed with good tidings. |
