Complete fabrication.

I will agree with you on this. I was wrong about him. He has carried himself great the first 5 weeks.

His coach wants him to grow some balls and throw the ball downfield more.

Just look at the playcalls FFS.

Andy even said so himself in an offseason interview.

The way he handled the draft process, and the firing of his agent, makes him a punk.

Sorry. You don't get to use Cams attitude, and the such when hes losing to knock him down, and get to skate on Geno's issues.

He's a LT switching to RT and a ROOKIE. Yes he was drafted 1.1 and needs to step up but Geno supporters are jumping all over him ever mistake before halfway through his rookie season. If he hasn't show any progress at the end of the year ok then you have a point but all I'm saying is that if you're going to say Geno's going to have some struggles because he's a rookie to be fair you have to give Fisher that as well. Should Fisher not progress then sure call him a bust but at 25% through his rookie year since he was held out due to concussion last week is a bit to early to bash him

Geno is a QB.

Fisher is a tackle, and the #1 overall pick at that.

That's like Jon Gruden in 2000 saying that we need to give Sebastian Janikowski some time and patience, because after all, he's just a rookie.

I know it's not Fisher's fault for getting picked that high, but this isn't about him, it's about the people who picked him. Dorsey and Reid basically told us to our faces, "This is the best player in the entire draft."

That, of course, is bullshit.

Yeah, one meltdown, and im a complete idiot. Never mind that on a football forum, that I can logically discuss football as well as anyone here.

Yup. Idiot.

Hes a punk, plain and simple. His play was never going to be the issue.

The questions of his leadership ability in college by his teammates after he left, the way he handled things when people started to doubt him attacking the media through twitter, walking out of the draft, having to be talked into going to the second day, all screams punk.

Immature, PUNK. Which is something you never want associated with your franchise qb, no matter how good the skill set is.

Again, Im not a geno hater. I enjoy watching the kid.

you wont get an argument from me about that.

But, when I judge a guy, its usually by his actions that are football related.

Cam Newton is a tool bag when things are going badly on the field, and a complete and utter d bag off it, not to mention a thief, and we all know that in some form or fashion he was paid to go to auburn.

But, that doesn't mean Geno hasn't done shit, said shit, or that any of the stuff that his ex teammates said were any less true.

Just saying.......

Geno has done better than I thought he would so far.

The only irritation is, whatever Geno does? is really irrelevant to Chiefs fans. Alex and Chase were brought in back in March... neither were cheap. So was KC really going to draft a QB the next month at 1.1?

So Geno is a Jet. If this enrages people, then take your whiny ass to Reid and Dorsey about it. Why take it out on the other KC fans that are not crying about the decisions from management? Why take it out on the QB... your team's QB.. that is here to bring KC success?

It's just bizarre and childishly misplaced anger.

Geno has looked bad against better D and good against shit D. Good for him. So far, so good, for a rookie. He may even turn out great one day... so what? So then, you can thumb your noses at KC management and say "told ya so" ? Again.. so what? What's done is done... and no one here gets shit right here every time. No one here gets paid to predict shit either.

There's some seriously stunted character and maturity here... for shame.

True it's not but being fair to the guy the Chiefs did decided to go with shouldn't be that hard. Is it to much to even let him get halfway through his rookie year before we start saying what a bust he is and how he was a bad pick?

You are not terribly bright, are you?

I have watched Alex from the beginning of his career and was inspired by his efforts on such a crap team over the years. Now, he has established himself, and I am interested to see how he does on another team that I actually like most aspects of.

How is any of that related for you and Geno?

It's very fair and evaluating HAS to happen for all players

But as I see it most not all Geno fans set 10X All pro standards for Eric Fisher from day 1. They point out every mistake he makes. While when mistakes Geno makes get met with "he's a rookie" YES he is and Geno Smith deserves time to grow as a player to. But so does Eric Fisher. All I'm saying is that people are being to hard on him less then half a season in the NFL and alot are declaring him to be a bad pick

I agree with you that people are being critical of Eric Fisher right now, but I also think it's fair to set a 10x all pro standard for an offensive tackle who was the #1 overall pick. And a #1 OT should be better able to step into the game immediately than a #1 QB, and especially a second-round QB.

Uhh... no. Most people who wanted Geno on the Chiefs wanted him warts and all. They expected early struggles. Those early struggles didn't matter to them because Geno is a QB, and if he learns from those mistakes and corrects a few technique issues, he's got the potential to be one hell of a good QB. Which, for an NFL team, is the life force.

A tackle is not life force. If you draft and develop a tackle at #1, that guy does NOT get the same timetable for good production as a QB does.

If your #1 overall pick isn't going to be that awesome franchise player until his 2nd/3rd/4th year, you better make sure he plays a position that can affect a large amount change to a team. It will never approach the level of a QB, but it can come close.

Right tackles do no such ****ing thing.

And nobody is saying he's going to be a bust. What some people ARE saying, though, is the best player in the draft who is a non-QB better damn well come in playing at an adequate level AT LEAST. I mean, that's what I imagine when I think of the best player in a draft class.

true. He is. But, the result is pretty damn inspiring. And, don't even go there. I get as frustrated as anyone during the games. And I did think that they were going to lose the Titans game.

Who ever said I wasn't any of those things?

Sure wasn't me.

Im far too busy judging other people and defending alex smith to be bothered with self enlightenment.

and no, by all means. Bring up the meltdown as seen fit. Just have the facts in order. Dead beat dad is something that is inaccurate. An idiot who is behind on some bills? Sure, liked nickelback at one time? Even though im not sure why they are so hated, sure, plays video games sure, look at porn and signed up for a FREE SITE while in Iraq? sure.

Dead beat? That's just a low blow. Lets keep kids out of it.

5'11 190 for a dude isn't fat.

For a girl, that's past "a few extra pounds".

As to your nonsense about trying to gauge why I engage in Geno conversations...you are clueless.

As far as you gauging anything to do with the dealings of this team, you couldn't be more clueless. I have the ability to take pleasure from a team that I disagree with the moves of.

Shit, I even bought season tickets a couple days ago.

I'd just much rather have watched this team with a quarterback they could have drafted and not another mediocre former backup.

During the game that is. Alex just played that miserably.

Everybody making the Gannon comparisons, or hoping for Gannon results; I can sympathize. The fact is; I would be ecstatic to have Marty-era Gannon results from this offense, not just from Axl.

Rison, in terms of overall ju-ju was comparable to Bowe, though he got more targets. The other receivers at that time were nothing special either. The line had more experience, but Gannon was a more balanced QB and MUCH more elusive(people have forgotten that aspect of his game)than Axl.

It's just not there yet.

Yeah, everybody gets that by now, with all of these months of tears and vag bleeding every day. This isn't news.. and ya know what else? TOO bad that you didn't get what you want. In life, you will learn that you don't always get what you want. So you can either continue to be a lil bitch and cry? or you can man up and just deal with the shit with some open-mindedness about it.

Are you so mentally weak that other fan's internet actions influence your assessment of a football player? What does that say about you?

No one has ever claimed that you should love Alex, strawman. Not bright enough to get that?

People like you have been telling people like me to GTFO for months now... how's that workin' for ya?

I can't think of one single poster from the 49ers that offers anything to this board.

Not one.

At least with the Patriots influx to this board, we got 2-3 decent posters that add to conversations.

I've seen this kind of thing many times before. You've been abused by your team for so long, you think you must be doing something to deserve it. You can't imagine how or why your team would do something wonderful for you, and when it happens, you are in denial about it.

It's like abused wife syndrome. You just need to get over it. You are worthy. You deserve Alex. o:-)

You see, denial.

Look, you really need to accept the fact that the abuse is over. Your husband is in jail. Or he agreed not to abuse you anymore. Whatever, you are not being beaten and raped everyday.

Accept it. Learn to love your new quarterback. He loves you, and brings you a new win every week. Just like bringing you flowers.

Say it: "I'm ok. I like myself. I deserve this miracle." :D

Don't lump me in with the people who hate Alex I'm not one of them I'm not a Geno lover who hates Alex just because he's Alex and not Geno..

That being said Jamal Charles Justin Houston falling to us in the 3rd round Being able to get Andy Reid to come to a 2-14 team when he could have had any open job he wanted outside of Philly all to this point better then Alex. Maybe one day what you said will be true but it's not that day yet

Hey, that's a start. Real progress!

And don't worry about Alex. He's a stand up guy. He understands the way you feel, and will wait for you to heal. Even if you seem like you'll never put out, he'll still bring those flowers every week. Well, except on the bye. :jester:

Why would I worry about someone I care nothing about?

I'm looking forward to the next few drafts when we start putting this team together for the post-Class of Herm years.

Yep, ol' Axl won't be part of that picture. Gotta' get that team ready for Bray or whomever the Dorseid elect to draft a couple of seasons from now.

But, thanks to Axl and San FranQueer-O for getting the seats warmed-up in the process, yes.

Who said that. I personally love the guy, I don't give a flying fist full of dicks whether you do or not. matter of fact, its your ass hurt reactions to people liking him that is what starts 90 percent of these wars.....

I say alex is good, you bitch.

I don't say, your opinion is stupid, dumbass.

Offers? Like what, screams in with the other bloody twats that Alex Smith set Chiefs football back another decade?

Because it seems to me that even the most trolly of trolls 49er fans, have been extremely scarce lately.

So, anyone positive about Alex Smith and the Chiefs in general are useless?

Good to know.

That seems to be the case we are 5-0 And people still want a guy whos on pace to turn the ball over more then 30 times this year? After the turnovers last year?

Geno played well against Atlanta GREAT even. But he has also throw costly 4th qtr picks

This is what Alex has done in the 4th
week 3 two drives a 8 play and 15 play for a td,fg

week 4 14 play drive for td

last week when we lost the lead he took us right down the field and got it back with a TD then took us down again for a clinching field goal.

Yep he sucks alright
