I’m not going to apologize for shit.

I don’t mind Steele being rostered. But I think he’s more of a PS player than someone who deserves to be on the 53 man roster unless we are utilizing him as a fullback.

I get that we love these storylines but we are trying to three peat. Hell I hate the fact that CEH was resigned. There is no reason whatsoever that you can’t have young talented RBs on the roster as back ups. The Chiefs opted for a bunch of question marks and POP has had some injury issues. Just dumb if you ask me.

Very well said, sir!

Hunt and Perine should be in on 95%+ of the RB snaps.

Yes and the biggest reason is that CEH cannot block. He’s basically a traffic cone protecting Patrick

But he can catch.

He needs a pair of black cleats waiting in his locker when he gets back.

Clyde's back. It's gonna be interesting to see how they handle the RB room...

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">According to the NFL&#39;s official transactions report, RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire has been added back to the <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Chiefs?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Chiefs</a> active roster. Kansas City is now at a full 53 players. <br><br>&quot; We’re awful glad to have him here,&quot; said head coach Andy Reid on his Monday conference call.</p>&mdash; Pete Sweeney (@pgsween) <a href="https://twitter.com/pgsween/status/1846305005432958994?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">October 15, 2024</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

"We're awful glad to have him here"

There really must be something, a value there, that fans just aren't privy to... I've been ambivalent about the guy, but lets face it under current circumstances it probably IS nice for them to get a decent enough vet presence back

Hunt
Clyde
Perine
Steele as the occasional fullback/short yardage option

TinyEvel 10-15-2024 04:23 PM

Clyde ran pretty stoutly those one or two games Pacheco was out last year.

Let's hope with the rest he can come backend make an impact when in the game. Maybe as a pass catcher.

You know, as long as the pass is not a sideways pass.

threebag 10-15-2024 04:30 PM

They should have had an injury settlement/ cut before now.

Good point he does have fresh legs, so we got that going for us...

Maybe so, but the way things have shook out this season... its probably for the best

Ha! We are going to Marty-Ball our way to a Three-Peat! RBs and TEs for the win!

Try to get Carson Steele on the practice squad if all I care.

Not sure he makes it to PS. considering he’s one of the two featured running backs for the best team (undefeated) in the nfl.

Sassy Squatch 10-15-2024 05:00 PM

Yeah, don't think Steele is going anywhere. He seems to be firmly entrenched on Special Teams. Perine may well be the odd man out when Pacheco comes back.

The 3.5 ypc, no touchdowns, and 3 fumbles is going to be hard to replace. I hope we can get a compensatory UFDA...pick?

Weak chin take.

Rasputin 10-15-2024 05:07 PM

I just hope CEH mental health is in good shape and can be productive when he is in the game.

Jamie 10-15-2024 05:13 PM

We do need a guy we trust not to fumble to take carries with a lead on the 4th quarter. Hunt getting 27 carries isn't sustainable.

RealSNR 10-15-2024 05:21 PM

When Pacheco comes back I don't want Clyde to get a single goddamn touch. Not a single one.

I'd rather have Steele tote the rock before we hand it off to Clyde

Womble 10-15-2024 06:26 PM

I am PUMPED to see Clyde back where he belongs which is running straight up the middle for a gain of 1 on first down. Let's ****ing goooooo

Rasputin 10-15-2024 06:29 PM

I hope Clyde kills it on the football field

TrebMaxx 10-15-2024 06:30 PM

My plan would be to feed him the rock sparingly and hope he shows something, then use him as trade bait in a package with Sky.

Chieftain 10-15-2024 06:34 PM

Rainbarrel 10-15-2024 06:50 PM

His “Joe Burrow or Patrick Mahomes” thread immediately after the AFCCG collapse was one of the best troll jobs I’ve ever seen. Anywhere on the internet for that matter.

It was a long running joke of his and always seemed to annoy the board in general.

Then, he kicks the entire board in the nuts with it at the worst possible time.

It was like a character on a sitcom having a joke that always falls flat, but then they finally use it in the right context.

That troll was a work of art.

dannybcaitlyn 10-16-2024 06:10 AM

Don’t need him, I’d rather every other running back get carries then see Clyde waste and kill drives.

So, I definitely feel differently about CEH after watching his appearance on The Pivot podcast.

I highly recommend watching or listening to the entire thing, but here is CEH talking about what happened in college.

Well, that would kill the theory that we just rostered him so he could be vested in benefits, wouldn't it? Why wasn't he playing when we were having to waste significant snaps on Carson Steele?

Awesome. Wishing him all the best. Along with the other 6 former Chiefs currently on the Saints' roster. (Tyrann Mathieu, Ugo Amadi, Khalen Saunders, Willie Gay, Tanoh Kpassagnon, & MVS.)
