That basketball coach didn't get punched at school enough as a kid.

Annoying human.

More defense for the Chiefs please. DT or LB.

staylor26 04-29-2022 09:25 PM

That’s a great pick.

Just didn’t expect LB.

Leo Chenal from Wisconsin.

Another good pick.

Red Dawg 04-29-2022 09:26 PM

No film? one who sucks the peniss.

The Franchise 04-29-2022 09:26 PM

The ****?

IowaHawkeyeChief 04-29-2022 09:26 PM

Wow, Leo... Not overly athletic, but another Thumper at tackling...

Couch-Potato 04-29-2022 09:27 PM

Nice!

EVERY player we've added to our D can lay the wood!

redshirt32 04-29-2022 09:27 PM

finnaly LB pick

TigerWhite1558 04-29-2022 09:27 PM

Leo Chenal

Balto 04-29-2022 09:27 PM

Love it

ChiefsCountry 04-29-2022 09:27 PM

PFF's grade on him.

36. LB LEO CHENAL, WISCONSIN
Chenal is going to thrive in man blitz-heavy schemes. He packs a punch as a downhill player, as he can light up offensive linemen with ease. His 94.1 run-defense grade wasn't too far behind Micah Parsons‘ (94.8) PFF college record.

He tested fairly well. He’s not freakish athletic, but he’s athletic.

Couch-Potato 04-29-2022 09:27 PM

Tackling is a requirement moving forward.

Who'da thought?

Rasputin 04-29-2022 09:27 PM

Thought we'd get a DT but another Defensive player.

I think we are going be the most balanced Chiefs team great on both sides of the ball not just one sided like most decades.

BossChief 04-29-2022 09:27 PM

Leo Chenal is another hazing, high upside pick.

Holy shit what a great drafts

Everything else is a bonus. This is a really good draft.

DJ's left nut 04-29-2022 09:27 PM

So that’s a good value pick but he’s essentially a poor man’s Bolton.

Whatever. Our pass rush is just gonna suck and it is what it is. Probably nothing to do about it at this point anyway.

The Franchise 04-29-2022 09:27 PM

I’m done guessing who the **** we’re going after.

493rd 04-29-2022 09:28 PM

Lots of ugly ass broads in the crowd

louie aguiar 04-29-2022 09:28 PM

They barely mentioned our pick at all before moving on to the rams pick LMAO

Couch-Potato 04-29-2022 09:28 PM

Our LB Core is going to be so much fun to watch!

Molitoth 04-29-2022 09:28 PM

I wonder if the Chiefs staff thinks the defense needs an attitude shift and players that can tackle

BossChief 04-29-2022 09:28 PM

Also, **** YOU Nieman

ChiefsCountry 04-29-2022 09:28 PM

Last two picks have been the get rid of Sorenson and Niemann who everyone bitched at all ****ing season.

ChiliConCarnage 04-29-2022 09:28 PM

*****2022 NFL DRAFT THREAD - NO SPOILERS*****

Chenal is an athletic freak and a physical specimen.

Leo Chenal is a downhill, thick thumping LB… Plays off/through contact exceptionally well with that nearly 260lb frame. Can plug into LOS/gaps and not get jarred by OL.

Heavy blitzer on 3rd down.

Has some Dont’a Hightower vibes when he’s playing his best.

BossChief 04-29-2022 09:29 PM

This defense is going to have a pissed off attitude.

tk13 04-29-2022 09:29 PM

Wasn't expecting that but that guy's a tackling machine. If nothing else Veach is bent on making sure the defense can tackle better next year.

Couch-Potato 04-29-2022 09:30 PM

Chiefs gonna hit you in the mouth moving forward!

Don't love it, don't hate it.

Tonight feels like one of those nights where there was a ****load of 9's on the dance floor but we didn't want to get rejected so we settled for a 6.

Christian & Barry 04-29-2022 09:31 PM

Leo is a Karlaftis type player. High motor, blue collar, badass type. Karlaftis reminds me of Justin Smith from the Niners and Chenal reminds me of Chris Borland back when he played a couple years for the Niners.

FloridaMan88 04-29-2022 09:31 PM

Goodell’s secretary is a boring draft presenter.

He doesn’t replace Niemann. He’s not a coverage backer. The tools are there but hes never really done it - he’ll need a TON of work there. And it’ll take a fair amount of time to get him there. He’s just never really worked in space much.

Like I said, he and Bolton effectively play the same position. I don’t understand what they’ll do with him.

Completely disagree.

It’s not the A+ day 1 was, but it’s a solid B+.

They continue to draft good football players. That’s a recipe for success when you have the best QB in the world.

Just because they didn’t get the guys people want doesn’t mean they took 6s.

They got value at every pick except maybe 62.

He's athletic if he's going downhill, but he will struggle in coverage, he will bring the thunder against the run though.

Boltons back up? Plays against obvious run situations?

Yep, I was just thinking about that. If Cook and this LB can be better replacements, maybe this D can improve this year.

suzzer99 04-29-2022 09:35 PM

This guy will almost certainly start in the base package. Meaning we very likely just drafted five starters.

Maybe Thornhill wins starter and Cook is the dime safety. But if so, hopefully that means Thornhill has figured his shit out. And the dime safety is very important - as Dan Sorenson has shown us.

People are attracted to the names the media fed them. Winfrey, dean ect. And when they fall people get mad that we haven’t grabbed them while completely ignoring that they had to fall so far for a reason. Maybe they’re off boards completely.

IowaHawkeyeChief 04-29-2022 09:36 PM

he's a run thumper...

We’re all guilty of it.

I was screaming for Winfrey and Woolen.

The NFL keeps telling me I’m dumb for that.

RunKC 04-29-2022 09:37 PM

The Chiefs have 3 LB’s who run under 4.6. They aren’t wimps either.

Amazing how far that position has come

Sorry, to be more clear - I'm referring to upside vs floor. Not saying these guys are bad players at all - you know I like Cook as an example.

They are all safe, limited upside players IMO.
