Alright guys - the board is updated, but I'm going to be swamped from now until I leave tomorrow night.

Mecca, the updates are on you from now until Monday morning.

Hamas, my picks are yours until Monday morning.

Have a great weekend fellas.

Psst.......DaKCMan is a Florida fan and hates all things SEC non Gatorada.

Psst... I don't hate all things SEC that isn't Florida. I'm pretty objective in my evaluation of SEC players.

Strongly disagree. He has bad hands and fumbles a lot. His route running is nothing special. He has ok speed but it doesn't always translate to the field.

Takeo Spikes is old. The 49ers need someone to groom behind Spikes to pair with Patrick Willis on the inside for years to come. This guy was hurt a lot of this year but is a great defensive player and should translate perfectly at the next level as a ILB in the 3-4.

The San Francisco 49ers select Dannell Ellerbe, ILB, Georgia.

With Sage going to Minnesota and Schaub having durability issues, the Texans find a prospect that can help with their offense besides just being a backup quarterback.

At 108, the Houston Texans select QB/WR/Wildcat Pat White, West Virginia.

Zouk 03-26-2009 08:04 AM

The Chargers select Chip Vaughn, S, Wake Forest.

He can play special teams and compete for the safety job next to Weddle. Working against him is the fact that I can't think of any other current NFL players named "Chip".

If the Broncos could send a 7th round pick to the Packers....they would. I thought for sure that the Packers were going to take this player. They didn't and the Broncos can now continue to add players to their 3-4 defense. With the 110th pick the Denver Broncos select:

Brandon Williams, DE/OLB, Texas Tech

DJ Williams and Andra Davis are going to be holding down the middle. Elvis Dumervil will hold down one OLB spot but the Broncos didn't have anyone to hold down the otherside. With Williams.....they just filled that hole.

Archie Bunker 03-26-2009 09:36 AM

The New York Jets select Michael Hamlin, S, Clemson

The Saints are hurting for a big DT to stop the run next to Sedrick Ellis, but their pain in the linebacking corps is just beginning.

The Saints came this close to gnabbing Daniel Holtzclaw at MLB, but they resigned Vilma so they're going with a guy they think can start on the outside, a guy who was a stud in the Pac 10 for California and excels at getting to the QB, a strength the Saints already have but could definitely welcome the help.

The Saints select OLB Zack Follett, California.

Cowboys are up.

ChiefsCountry 03-26-2009 07:27 PM

Dallas Cowboys select Sebastian Vollmer, OT, Houston

Archie Bunker 03-27-2009 10:23 AM

The New York Jets select Keenan Lewis, CB, Oregon St
