Hurry up, people! I have 30 picks to wait through, and I already have my next two guys on the phone to offer them contracts.
|
Im ready with the jerseys for my next two picks now we get to see if they make it to me.
|
What is the current ruling on an "acceptable" waiting policy before we skip you and then you just make your pick when you get back online?
I haven't paid attention to the serious gaps that we've had, but are we waiting longer than a day for some to make their picks? If so, let's put in a 12 hour rule or something. I realize that some folks don't live on the Internet like some of us and some can't access from work, but if you're not checking in a few times every day... why are you doing something like this? |
We've been giving 24 hours. Should we shorten it as we get into Round 10, a la the real draft?
I was even pondering something kind of cool and radical to speed it up, if it wouldn't be too confusing. Beginning in Round 10, we could conceivably split the draft into an AFC and NFC component, and run reverse orders. So for example, the AFC would start going in 1 to 19 order and the NFC would start going in 19 to 1 order. No serpantine. We'd double our speed, but could people keep track of it? We'd also have to get permission from the one trade that's already taken place since I wouldn't want to screw anybody over. |

I'm not really sure that speeds things up.
|
I think it would speed things up because we would essentially be running two completely independent drafts, one from the AFC and one from the NFC.
bdeg, we'd have to figure out how the trade would translate. My initial thought is that the traded pick (18th round?) would move up to a 14th round in one draft or the other, probably randomly selected. I don't know if it would be a good idea or not. I'm worried about the possibility of confusion. |
I'm all for speeding this up anyway possible.
|
The biggest problem I have with that is, what if the AFC moves faster than the NFC and NFC teams with lower picks get screwed?
This is all contingent on people making timely picks, and the best solution for that is to make a 10-12 hour limit. |
So 12-hour limit beginning in the next round?
|
I second the speeding this up. If it is set in a way we could get this going faster
|
I say 10 hr or the NFC afc idea
