Gee, Saul, once again pointing out the obvious is something you pull off better than anyone. I was talking about 2 specific plays...I even said "on those plays..." wow dude...

Why? We aren't dropping in the polls after winning on the road against a MAC team.

Well, if we don't, we sure deserved to..

I think people should see that Mauk isn't the better passer, but he's the better option for moving the ball for right now and they're still winning.

There isn't a whole lot to work with for Lock right now.

I'm not so sure about that. There were a lot of dropped passes tonight that suggest that had Lock thrown them that they'd have been caught. Some would be dropped, but many more would have been closer to the numbers.

I'm going to be a nice guy and approve of mauk starting this year but if Lock isn't starting next year then Mizzou fans have a legitimate beef with Pinkel.

I'm going to be grumpy until he does, but if he doesn't next year I'm going to be ****ing pissed. It's dumb that he's not now, and Gary knows it, he's just to ****ing egotistical to do what's right.

ASU played incredibly well, Mizzou played incredibly poorly (on offense) and Mizzou won in a hostile environment. Ugly win is win.

Hostile environment. ROFL

It's more of his mobility to help compensate for lack of blocking and run game.

Like I already said, he's not on the same level of Lock as a passer. Arguing about it is worthless.

Well to be fair, Jonesboro isn't the friendliest place.

Most hostile than playing in Lawrence...and I bet they had better attendance too.

Man, the defense pulled that one out again. Major credit to Barry Odom, IMO, for the scheme, preparation and execution this defense is showing.

Without the typical, awful Mauk turnovers, I'm pretty confident the defense holds Arkansas State to 10 points (I'll give them the Lock turnover, that was just something that happens. Mauk's INTS were totally avoidable). They held what was a good offense last year - that returned 9 offensive starters - to 217 total yards, and less than three yards per play.

And that's without their best returning defender (Harold Brantley), with one starter kicked off the team, and with a ton of young, unproven guys playing in the trenches up front.

Impressive.

The offense sucked shit again. OL must play better. WRs must play better. RBs must play better (And if Chase Abbington isn't better, right now, than Hunt and Witter, he's just another product of the St. Louis hype machine). And the QB spot must perform more consistently.

Really, Mauk's biggest issue today was the turnover issue. Both were awful and set up easy fields for points.

I don't know what Kansas has to do with it, but I'm sure any SEC team doesn't flinch at playing in front of ~30,000 on the road.

I'm worried about the backs. I wonder if it's time to burn Daugherty's shirt.
