Probably would have heard of him more often if Denard could throw consistanly.

I bet you can as well. Running a mile isn't really the end all be all of athletic achievements.

chiefs1111 04-28-2012 04:59 PM

Good too see my buddy Antonio Allen finally gets picked

O.city 04-28-2012 05:00 PM

Would have liked to have grabbed Allen in the 7th for some safety depth, but not sure how well he fits.

I also think he could also get lost in the shuffle.

I absolutely agree. I think he would be a legit 2nd/3rd round guy if he hadn't been stuck in that goofy offense and spent half his time looking back to see if Denard was running and he needed to block. At this point, it's hard to say if he will be able to adjust or not... but he is definitely worth the risk as a 7th rounder. As has been pointed out, he is worth it for his blocking ability alone.

How about guys like Sheffield and Gabe Miller step up? You know the guys we used picks on in previous years? :thumb:

Me too, especially considering the two we have are injury prone.

Direckshun will be along shortly with a 10,000 player list...

ISUJeff 04-28-2012 05:10 PM

From CBS about Hemingway:

A big and talented receiver who has a great frame with solid ability to run after the catch. After three years of Denard Robinson, even the scatter-armed Matt Cassel will seem like a Godsend to Hemingway.

I think he has just about everything you'd want physically in a #2 receiver. He's maybe a shade on the short side, just under 6'1 IIRC, but he's physically a pretty big, strong guy (you'd think he's a running back looking at him), and while he's not a burner/can't shift into another gear, he's not as slow as his 40 times would make you think, either. And he's good after the catch. But the catch...there's his one big issue to me. He has to be more consistent there. Well, health could be a concern, too, although I'm not actually very worried about that.

chiefs1111 04-28-2012 05:15 PM

Edwin Baker to the Chargers

alnorth 04-28-2012 05:16 PM

almost time for Mr. Irrelevant.

Any predictions? I'll say cornerback

Nice for Chandler Harnish. One of the few guys in history to throw for 3000 and rush for 1000 in a season.

chiefs1111 04-28-2012 05:22 PM

I bet that would of been someone the Chiefs would have targeted as a UFDA.

Frosty 04-28-2012 05:23 PM

I was hoping Harnish was going to be our camp arm

Reaper16 04-28-2012 05:26 PM

Welp, time to sit back and let the UDFA signings/rumored signings roll in.

Any bets as to the organization that signs Burfict?

I want to take this opportunity to laugh at the Ducks' Darron Thomas who declared for the draft as a junior for some unknown reason. Not only didn't he get drafted, I don't believe that he has even been picked up as an UDFA.

What a tard.

Seen some speculation that had he stayed he may not have even retained his job as the starter, still seems like a terrible decision regardless though for sure.

I'm not. Good size, good speed, young (going to be 21 this year).

Just like guys were wanting Burfict in the 7th, you can convince yourself that it's worth the risk.

If he had transferred to an FCS school, he could have played and finished his degree. Declaring for the draft killed his chances.

On the one hand, I get to laugh at the Ducks as this probably killed a championship run. On the other hand, a young man made a terrible decision that dicked up his future. :shake:
