Oh shit, a BYU o-lineman ranked that high in both aspects?

Here’s a interesting name the Chiefs should sign. Nothing more than a #4 or #5 but Dez Bryant

The more I’ve looked and read about the tackles the less I wanna trade up I think. Unless they feel there’s a certain one they want, surely there will be a good one available at 31

Good god man. Give it up. |
Its sink or swim for Hardman now as the #2. They may draft someone in round 3 or 4 but for the most part, Hardman is your guy.

At this point I do think the Chiefs make a trade of some sort. I don't think it will be for a guy they need to resign however. Plenty of teams still need to create cap space.
As mentioned earlier, you could get OBJ. After watching Tyreek, not sure he wants to see a vet come in that would warrant a 100 targets. I'd love to get James Daniels, center from the Bears coming of a Peck injury. I'm sure there are lots of guys available |

Worth the watch! Jason Dunn and Eric Warfield.

Veach loves what players do at the Senior Bowl.
Radunz and Meinerz looked better than most there. |

That's an interesting question - have the Chiefs ever drafted a consensus Hall of Fame player so decreed by the posters around here? |

I can’t see Niang, who was a 4 year starter at right tackle, being penciled in as the LT.
If things go “right” and they get their left tackle in the first round, I think the battle for right tackle comes down to Remmers and Niang, with Niang winning the spot outright, leaving Remmers as the Swing Tackle again. I could also see Remmers start the first quarter while bringing Niang up to speed. |

Chiefs kicking the tires on Okung.
I’d strongly consider a $4-5M deal plus incentives. |

This feels like the slowest second wave of free agency ever. Like there wasn’t even a second wave at all.
Guessing teams are waiting until the draft ends mostly now. |

Want to see him used more on passing downs where he can either attack the QB/ or drop off in coverage. Allows Spags another toggle to mess with people and he is beast coming at the QB and has speed range to play coverage. |
No more speculation?
|
Last whispers were interest in Gio Bernard, and I wonder if they can get Hurst on a cheap deal since he was cut from Oakland. That interior D line rotation would be killer...
Other than that, the draft awaits and then I expect some bargain bin free agency shopping afterwards. |

Kind of crazy. The Chiefs have a player who is a star or has legitimate star potential at every position:
QB: Mahomes TE: Kelce WR: Hill OT: Brown G: Thuney C: Humphrey RB: CEH DE: Clark DT: Jones LB: Gay or Bolton CB: Sneed S: Mathieu |

Orlando Brown was a splashy signing, the draft was a whole lot of depth. But what can you expect from a 2-time Superbowl team? Day-1 starters aren't easy to come by for a team this good.
|

So is Veach going to add a legitimate pass rusher?
They can’t be content with what they have. |
The offensive line rebuild and how fast it has taken place makes next year so interesting.
The division and really much of the conference has been building their roster to beat the Chiefs for the past 3 years, and now their whole offense is evolving. The way they attack defenses might very well look different than it has for the past few years and if so, it’ll be up to defenses to find another ‘blueprint’ yet again. |

I think its great that the Chiefs relaize every year that Mahomes is our QB you have to go balls to wall and go for the Super Bowl.

Resign Breeland.
Sign Melvin Ingram. Trade for Julio Jones. Dominate. |

They don't have the cap space for that. One of that. |
Is this the best team we’ve had on paper?
I mean damn, it’s ****ing solid. |

Julio is due $15M guaranteed. So not interested in that. Melvin Ingram is still wanting a lot of money as well. |
I can see us still targeting WR, CB, and DE.
|
Quote:
Bolton will get playing time Kaindoh will be lucky to see the field in 2021 Gray won’t “start” but he’ll be the 2nd best TE on the roster and should get some chances Powell is a wildcard. If he understands the playbook and proves to be a talented receiver, he’ll play Trey Smith may need some refining but he’s not a typical 6th round project lineman. He very well might be better than Long and LDT. Not sure if he can beat out Blythe, though On paper this is a very impressive draft because I think it’s reasonable we got 5 immediate “contributors” including atleast one starter, for a back to back SB team |
Quote:
Unless they cut JJ, we don’t even have the cap space to make that trade. I think we will end up with Ingram or another veteran DE though |
Quote:
That SB loss got the Chiefs fired up like I have never seen. |
This was the kind of draft I wanted us to have two years ago. I love this draft outside of the H/TE/FB we took...

My first choice would be Melvin Ingram III, but there are other free agent options.
Part of a Kansas City Chiefs DE rotation might be a good role for Ryan Kerrigan. Last year with Washington, he had 397 snaps, 25 tackles, and 5.5 sacks. |

Chiefs OL Andrew Wylie has signed his restricted free agent tender.
He's officially back in the fold for 2021 and will compete for snaps along the rebuilt KC offensive line |

Who the hell is Wylie beating out to make this team?

There will be injuries so good depth move.

I have to give MahomesMagic credit. Below is his post from February 8th, page 2 of a 315 page thread.
Quote:
Good Center - Drafted Creed Humphrey, signed Austin Blythe Edge Rusher - Drafted Joshua Kaindoh, re-signed Taco Charlton (Maybe another free agent here would be good) 3 Down LB - Drafted Nick Bolton Pretty Good! |
He got everything on his wish list. Kudos!
|
I like what Brett Veach has done with roster, but we still could use a little bit more -
CB (6) Charvarius Ward, Rashad Fenton, L’Jarius Sneed, Thakarius Bopete Keyes, Deandre Baker, Chris Lammons, Dicaprio Bootle, and Marlon Character. Possible re-sign – Bashaud Breeland. WR (6) Tyreek Hill, Mecole Hardman, Byron Pringle, Demarcus Robinson, Antonio Callaway, Cornell Powell, Chad Williams, Marcus Kemp, Gehrig Dieter, Jody Fortson, Maurice Ffrench, and Dalton Schoen. Possible sign – Dede Westbrook. DE (5) Frank Clark, Michael Danna, Taco Charlton, Joshua Kaindoh, Tim Ward, Austin Edwards, and Demone Harris. Also Malik Herring coming off of a February ACL tear. Possible sign – Ryan Kerrigan |
