Ever tried Appleton Estates? Myers is plenty good, but AFAIC, Appleton knocks Myers on it's ass...

Yep. And the darn-tootin' tastiest dark rum I've ever had. I went on a dark rum tangent about 6 months ago, trying out all the top shelf imports that my liquor store had in stock--Appleton Estate rules the roost, IMO...

I've had Caruba. Good stuff! BTW, you should have no problem finding the Appleton Estate in any good-sized liquor store. It's quite popular in the US right now. I've noticed all the bars I've been in carry it...

2001 Mondavi Woodbridge Cabernet.

It was a large bottle and it had been open a couple of days (with the cork in), don't know if that changes the taste, but I was not impressed.

Gets ya drunk though!

I've got a nice scotch and water. Hold the scotch.

I have never really liked woodbridge though. Its pretty bland and has kind of a metallic taste to it.

Still gets you drunk though and there are worse wines out there.

Demonpenz 11-20-2004 11:12 PM

just a big red goodbye, goodbye says it all
