Besides why do people hate soccer that much? Does the judgement come from watching kids or MLS games?

Why do we hate soccer so much? Uh...because it is so bundle of sticksgish? Watching queers dance around for thirty minutes while nothing happens? Gooooooooooooooooaal!

Hey, you're the one who brings that stuff into our homes with your fancy satellites and lag bolts and stuff.

90 minutes.

How is it bundle of sticksgish? Because nobody is ran into at full speed? Are all sports except football and rugby bundle of sticksgish? You've obviously never seen a game, it's pretty physical.

Soccer is best seen as highlights. I will admit I find the highlights entertaining, it is just all the boring as hell shit that surrounds those highlights that suck.

Never been, but would love to. Good choice of trips, If you ask me...

That's true for EVERY sport, if you have your heart in it. Even watching the NFL, for me, is watching mostly highlights. I am a fan of the Chiefs, so I'll watch their full games. Other games are too boring to me to watch (unless they directly have some effect on the Chiefs standings). The highlights? Those are interesting.

I bet if you somehow become a fan of a soccer team you'd watch their full games with anticipation and excitement. I watch Arsenal, Real Madrid, the MLS champship game, The U.S. National team, and the Iranian National team in full when they are available on the tube.

Mostly not. I may take an interest in an underdog and try to watch. Or I may watch Denver to root for the oponent.

Watching soccer is a totally different experience and mindset. Seems all of the popular US sports are very situational... 4 qtr 1:30 left...9th inning...1 outs. Soccer has a unqiue ebb and flow that maked for a lot of built up tension and exciting play...

Alot of people are not into it mostly because is different. But I really enjoy it.

Well, I have had some "London" Ky experiences, and the food and culture are sure different there. If that helps. :p :)

I'm 100% with Frankie on this one. Except I can watch ANY international match or any match involving good clubs with much enjoyment. I can sometimes watch some shitty games, though if I haven't seen soccer for a while.

Like I was watching the NCAA play-offs and finals, pretty shitty, but w/e.

Soccer suffers here because TV does not like it. You can't go to commercials on timeouts. It's all in the marketing folks. I do not buy the "low scoring" nature of the game as the reason. Like Zach says, the game is continuous and filled with anticipation. One goal scored in soccer twice as rewarding as a TD or maybe 50 times more exciting than each cheapened point scored in Basketball. A true soccer fan watches every moment with anticipation and interest.
