I'm in the wrong business.

I could only be so lucky...alas, I am not. Im sorry to disappoint you, but it's been evident for a long time disappointment and you are good friends.

My disdain isnt for the 'fans' it's basically for people like you...too stupid to realize you're an idiot.

Cannibal might be upset at you taking his 'insult'...

The 'decision' to replace the DC and JUST the DC was frigging brain-dead. Yeah, it was ALL Knobinson's fault.... Guinta and the rest of DV's buddies had nothing to do with a league-wide JOKE of a defense. Players had nothing to do with it either.... nope, Knobinson was so bad, he made them miss tackles. Yeah, that's it. Replace just GR and re-sign all the players from the league-wide JOKE of a defensive squad. Brilliant!

I want them ALL fired. Inept. Totally inept.

You do have a point about the Chiefs having half a team though the Chiefs aren't the only team that only has half a team.
It'd be great to have a top five team in both categories but it's hard to accomplish in today's NFL.
The Chiefs did replace the defensive coordinator but they did aquire one player who never had played for the Chiefs before via free agency(who played well, BTW) and several via the draft(one of which nearly tied DT's rookie sack record). Regardless of what you say, you don't agree with what the Chiefs did last offseason. I'll be the first to agree that those players didn't work out this past season.
I'm sure I could find many quotes from last offseason saying that the defense would be so much better with out Greg Robinson.
I don't know why you care so much about the Chiefs coaching staff now, I thought you said you were going to root for the Redskins this year.

This thread just didn't feel right without Laz's great insights.

Well we can both see that they didn't achieve a Superbowl victory. I guess we should fire the other 31 GM's that don't make it this year too. Hope your tight with all the NFL team owners.

Tell me nmt1, when is it OK for the fans to expect results or change? I think 16 years is a pretty fair shot.

Enlighten me with your insight.

If I'm you and you're me, are you using two PC's to post this stuff?

Not once did I say that. You need to re-read my posts.
And, now that the search function is re-enabled, feel free to look into my posts prior to this season in regards to our "moves" to improve the defense. You'll find I'm either psychic, or able to see the BLATENTLY OBVIOUS: simply replacing the DC is NOT going to radically improve the worst _efense in the league.

Go ahead and play ostrich if you want; I'm not going to follow suit. The writing is on the wall in regards to Vermeil and Peterson.... has been for some time now. I just hope CP follows suit and fuckS OFF when DV retires. He was a miserable failure as a GM and it is WAY past time for the Chiefs to make a change.

You can wish in one hand and crap in the other, see which one fills up first. Bottom line, you're a fan, just like me. Neither of us are even season ticket holders. We can expect a lot but we're probably gonna be disappointed the vast majority of the time.
I expect little from the Chiefs but I watch with much interest.

KCTitus 01-27-2005 11:34 AM

The search feature has been turned back on? How come I didnt get th memo?!

HC has made some good calls in the past, Holmes and Freeman both come to mind...although I did take you to task on Freeman, you got it.

Ive said before, Im ready for a change at GM...actually, Im somewhat excited at the thought.

Not as sharp as he used to be.

No kidding? You missed it huh?

Damn. I turned 30 today. How long do I have to go before I start missing such obvious things.

Heh, I kinda asked for it with the way in which I explained my position: drunken tirade (went to a wedding reception that night... had a lot of fun; that is, until I saw who KC drafted).

My apologies, must've been Shane that said that.

My heads not in the sand. I obviously have a differing opinion than you. Yes, Carl hasn't won any Superbowls or AFC Championships for that matter. He has, however, put together a competitive team that has made Lamar lots of money and has turned KC into a football town. Lamar thinks he's done a good job and Lamar holds the checkbook.
I'd love to see the Chiefs win the Superbowl but I won't expect anything.

I agreed then and I agree now that only replacing Robinson wasn't going to turn the D around over night. There's lots to do to make them better and I look forward to them being better regardless of who the GM or head coach or defensive coordinator is.

I have no illusion of power with the Chiefs.

You didn't answer my question however, let me try to re-word: Judging by your stance on the organization, how many more years do you feel Peterson should have to complete his goal of a Super Bowl before stepping aside and admiting failure?

If it bothers you so much to form an opinion concerning the Chiefs pretend he is President of the US or...CEO of a corportate stock that you hold...when do you cast your vote for someone else or sell the stock?

Your opinion holds roughly the same amount of input value in all three situations.
