Golfers...here's a couple of great golf message boards. Naptown...check out the Golf Aficionados(GEA) "Swap Shop". It's a great place to get bargains on great equipment.

Driver is a Callaway Hawkeye 9 degree
King Snake 5 wood
Some of the best Ping Zing clones around 1 iron through LW. - though I usually leave the 1 & 2 at home to make the 14 limit.
some cheap putter I picked up for $15 but is the best putting putter I've used

I am sad to report that my 16 year old Cleveland Launcher is dead.

I was hitting at the range today and on one swing it made a weird sound. When I looked up to see the flight of the ball, all I saw was the club head flying gracefully through the air.

Never saw the ball.....

It's probably for the best. Hopefully your next driver will be kinder to you.

I had a similar occurence years ago, but with a sand wedge out on the course. Recovered the club head, never did find the ball.

FWIW, we had a noob sign up from Springfield today. Claims his occupation as "professional golfer".

Cool, huh?

Take it to the golf store. They can stick the head back on.

Yep, they can although they will probably have to reshaft it so plan on paying for that since it is 16 years old.

I know how you feel Will my PW snap at the hossle 2 weeks ago in a tournament. Had a side hill lie and took too steep of swing and SNAP ball goes along with the head of the club good thing for me my playing partner was behind me and not where his is ball was.

I've had it with this sport.

I just started playing last year. Really, I was never really any good. I wasn't a complete mess out there. On occasion I could hit a decent tee shot. Plus, my 7 iron on down was pretty trustworthy.

For the past 2 months though, I can't hit shit. Nothing. I'm a lefty aall of a sudden every tee shot I hit goes directly right. Today, I almost hit some guys on a green that was directly to my right. The ball went over their heads (thank god, they never saw it. I never would have had time to warn them.) EVERY f'n iron I hit sprays off to the left. EVERY SINGLE F'N ONE !!! No matter what iron I hit.

I've played high school basketball, and Amercan Legion baseball. I was a pretty decent athlete. But JFC this game gets in your f'n head.

I came home from today from our usual Sunday round and threw my clubs in the front yard.

F' it.
