I don't care if somebody wants to smoke dope. Like most things, if it doesn't affect me, it's not my business. As I see it, that's something a mature, intelligent adult should start to outgrow as he progresses through his 20s, but that's just my opinion. Beyond that, though, what kind of fucking idiot drives around smoking dope and THEN interacts with a stranger without giving it a second thought? What if you had narced him out? Then he goes to jail just because he was too fucking stupid to wait until he got home to light up?

Seriously, there's a time and a place for everything.

Personally, I'd have told Spicoli to roll his dumb ass elsewhere. Is that really the sort of person you want to do business with? Not because he gets high; but because he's STUPID.

Phobia 05-28-2008 11:16 PM

Would I have called the cops? Probably not. But I'd have definitely confronted the guy on his ridiculous behavior just as I did the idiots driving 50 MPH down my street about an hour ago.

If were on the subject of ridding the world of anything that alters your mind while driving I think we should outlaw coffee and energy drinks as well.

I agree.... and how about women too? No women allowed in the car while it's moving.

LOL, We had a guy last week stinking up the whole store.. I asked him 'How much weed did you smoke' he said ' a lot'.. I then asked why did he smoke so much before coming up here to shop, he said 'it was his day off'...

That's why I said to outlaw them both. They are both more harmful to your body than marijuana is. Also I wonder how many of you who are strongly against driving while stoned talk on your cell phones while you drive. I guaranteee that cell phones cause more wrecks than marijuana does.

But they are WAY harder to light.

Extra Point 05-29-2008 07:02 AM

Legalize it, tax the s*it out of it, and keep it at home. Prosecute the public possession of an open pack like an open alcohol container. DUI is still DUI.

I'm withholding my opinion until I see what SNR would do.

In addition, people who are "conditioned" to pot, meaning the ones that have smoked daily for years are no danger on the roads. It's less intoxicating than pain pills to those people.

Less intoxicated ≠ Not intoxicated.

When the cop informed me 1) The guy reeked of it, 2) Was in posession, and 3) failed a blood test for MJ, and 4) blew just under "legally intoxicated" on a breathalyzer, I don't have any problem with them adding DUI and possession to the vehicular homicide charges.

Frankly, I wish they would have nailed the f**khead for murder.

If you've been drinking, smoking, whatever, stay the f*** away from behind the wheel. If you can't you're just showing a level of selfishness I can't fathom (my buzz is more important than the safety of others). Do whatever the hell you want, just not in a way that can affect others.

I can't believe how many people seem to be defending DUI/DWI. :shake:

I don't have a problem with an open container in public, be it alcohol or your hypothetical pot example. My only problem is with idiots that get behind the wheel with one.

I'm with ya Adept. I know exactly what you are talking about.

^^^ THIS ^^^

I personally am not a habitual pot-smoker. However, if we did treat all drugs like alcohol, it benefits our great society in a multitude of ways:
1) We are not spending over $100 billion to fight it. In fact, we are generating revenues from the sale of it.
2) The drugs become safer as they are produced by a more reputable source.
3) We clear out the prisons.
4) Organized crime will slow tremendously.
