I don't have much on hand. I had a bunch of nearly empty bottles of stuff when I moved. When I move, I tend to throw a lot of stuff away. I have some butterscotch schnapps and some kahlua that I keep on hand for putting in hot chocolate. I have maybe 8oz of Crown and 1/2 pint of Everclear in the freezer.

Getting ready to eat some dinner and then head to the store.

FWIW, Everclear and filtered water = vodka, for all intents and purposes. Buy some half and half, mix kahlua, everclear/water and cream for white russians. Drink a few, attack Georgia!

I drink old fashioneds around Christmast time. I've always seen them with an orange slice and marchiano cherry. My recipie:

About 2 tsp of sugar in the bottom of the glass.
3 drops of bitters
muddle an orange slice in the sugar and bitters

Add ice to the top of the glass.
Rye wiskey (my favorite over bourbon, Canadian Mist or Scotch, which are alternatives) about 3/4 of the way up the glass.
Add a little water.

Stir well and garnish with a marchiano cherry.

I haven't had one in a few years, but a Caipirinha is a great summer cocktail:

2 tsp granulated sugar
half a lime, wedged
2 1/2 oz cachaca

Muddle the sugar into the lime wedges in an old-fashioned glass. Fill the glass with ice cubes. Pour the cachaca into the glass. Stir well.

You're covered. Take the Crown out of the freezer, remove the lid, put the bottle to your lips, tip the bottle and repeat.

shoot up some peaches with some spiced rum

How many times would this process need to be repeated before the job is complete?

Heh. Actually it's really not too terrible although I was 18 when we used to make it. Taste at the time fell secondary to "Will consuming this allow me to become intoxicated and make series of mistakes while living a party lifestyle with as much depth as the lyrics on an Andrew W.K. album? Yes, it will? Okay then, let the the drinking commence."

My taste have matured quite a bit since then.

When I was 18 I thought grain alcohol tasted good......well, ok, not good but at least tolerable.
