Did you ever eat 'Scrapple" when you were in Baltimore? I asked a waitress at this little diner near Ft. McHenry about it once. She said "We're out of it, and you don't want it, anyway!"
I took her advice and had an omlette.

Heh....scrapple is an "acquired taste". I hated it as a kid, decided it was tolerable as an adult, but I've sure never craved it. My step dad, on the other hand, puts scrapple for breakfast on the top of his "to do" list when he goes back to visit.
Old Bay is one of the finest seasoning blends ever created. It works on so many levels. I use it for virtually any seafood as well as burgers, fried chicken, cajun dishes, popcorn.....it's a must have in my spice cabinet. Also, the recipes on the side of the can for steamed shrimp and crab cakes are as good as any you'll ever find for those dishes.
Not to mention that I've met a few women for whom Old Bay seems to work as an aphrodisiac - but that's another story and a different type of craving.
