Don't call out Thigpen, call out our secondary depth. We're one decent player deep on depth in the secondary. Trash Leggett/McGraw if anything.

He's developing in spite of all this adversity and people want to blame him for the loss?

Where would we be right now without him? Probably still 1-7, but at least he keeps us competitive the last two weeks instead of getting shut out and blown out

He does look like he could win a game if he had competent coach and a D that wasn't limpdick when it matters. Chan Gailey looks like he gets it. Herm, Gun, and the D need to go.

true ..... that 3 for 10 turns into 6 for 10 if our receivers don't choke.

i'll take 60% from a 3rd game starter :D

He's giving the team some confidence. Something this team was starting to lose big time. He's keeping them in the game andmaking them competitive.

I am not saying Thigpen is going to be a hall of famer, but for him being a 7th rounder fom CC, he's doing a damned good job. No interceptions his last 2 games. He has made some bad throws, but its his 3rd start, thats to be expected.

I agree on McGraw, but Leggett is a rookie. They tend to make mistakes.

Why did we let patterson go? Did Herm throw him under the bus and cut him?

How many interceptions were dropped today? Two? Three? Of course the refs bailed us out on one.

Yeah I like McBride's enthusiasm and hustle. Dorsey just looks slow to me and his concerns about being gaining weight are questionable, he seemed to play at snails pace and gets locked up repeatedly with no forward rush.

it wouldn't have been an interception if the defender hadn't basically tackled Gonzalez nitwit

RINGLEADER 11-02-2008 04:03 PM

Last two starts:

39/61
444
3 TDs
0 INTs
Passer Rating: 102.08

I would say that would compare well with a lot of other QBs. If the coaching staff didn't go uber-conservative he'd also have 2 wins.

But this season is all about potential at this point. As hard as it is to stomach losses like today I do like the fact that we're getting answers at key positions (kudos to Thigpin and Charles and Flowers and Carr and Albert) and will be drafting high again in the off-season. If we can get a real defensive coordinator (and a head coach that isn't afraid to take it to teams when we have the lead) we might find ourselves with a heck of a team in the next year or two.

He's not talented enough to be a starter. Another second-round bust.
