If we can get China and Russia to at least remain neutral, we'll have carte blanche to exterminate terrorists until there are no more.

Iowanian 09-11-2001 12:53 PM

From CNN.com
"• Mullah Abdul Salam Zaeef, the Taliban ambassador to Pakistan, says in reaction to the terror attacks that "we want to tell the American children that Afghanistan feels your pain and we hope that the courts find justice."

If this isn't a plea for "Please don't melt my country" and wasn't me wasn't me wasn't me........

Too bad habib.....this is going to hurt you more than it hurts me.

HC_Chief 09-11-2001 12:54 PM

Russia will fall right into line. They cannot afford to stand against us. We were maliciously attacked without provocation and without warning. A clear act of war - it would be in their best interests to stay out of the conflict (just as they did in Iraq)

China will probably protest any action in the U.N. but their bark will be much louder than their bite. They're not stupid enough to stand alone against the rest of the world. I'm sure they'll run their mouths - as they always do, but inaction = the Chinese way.

Bin Laden claims innocence. He states he does not have the resources to do such a thing. ( CNN)

anyone believe this liar?

Bob Dole 09-11-2001 01:01 PM

The panic, though mild, is starting down here. All the gas stations have long lines as people prepare for the inevitable price gouging we're sure to see.

Anyone else seeing anything similar?

Clint in Wichita 09-11-2001 01:01 PM

Hell, China may helped finance and equip some of the jerkoffs in Bin Laden's organization.

As far as that dimwit hoping that "the courts find justice", someone should've told him that the courts aren't going to be involved.

Clint in Wichita 09-11-2001 01:03 PM

Bin Laden says he doesn't have the resources?! He's a billionaire who has been behind terrorist attacks all over the world, INCLUDING the first attack on the WTC!!!!

Even if by some miracle he isn't directly involved, you can bet your arse he knows who is.

HC_Chief 09-11-2001 01:06 PM

I have every confidence we'll find out who was behind this attack.

They're running scared now. The initial euphoria has worn off - they now realize they've perpetrated an attack so haenous against the U.S., that many high-ranking government officials are now terming it an ACT OF WAR.

Smartest thing to do: proclaim your innocence and pray to whatever gods you believe in, that the murderers did a brilliant job covering their tracks.

It won't help them - we'll find out... then there's hell to pay.

John McCwethy of ABC News says our troops are on Threat Con-Delta, the highest possible state of alert.

Alton deFlat 09-11-2001 01:22 PM

Lines at gas stations are getting long here in southeast Kansas also. Police are even helping direct traffic. I think gas prices have gone up 10 cents per gallon since this morning, but I'm not sure. If the oil companies take advantage of this situation and raise prices, that would be pathetic.

Nelson Muntz 09-11-2001 01:27 PM

hey chief4ever where are you from? i live in joplin but work in parsons and go to school in pittsburg. i haven't seen anything yet cuz i've been at work all day

htismaqe 09-11-2001 01:29 PM

Russia is apparently going to come in NON-NEUTRAL and side with the US, according to the BBC...

They're still lining up and everyone is with us. Like I said before, the only thing our government is worrying about is causing WWIII. With this many countries on our side, the chance of that happening are minimal.

We will be revenged...

oleman47 09-11-2001 01:30 PM

Gasoline prices going way up in Ok. Bloomberg financial network is doing a heck of job on reporting.

Alton deFlat 09-11-2001 01:31 PM

Hey Slim
I'm in Pittsburg! I don't know if it's true, but someone told me gas was $3.50 per gallon in Columbus, KS.
Not confirmed!!!
