None, I also don't ask of special support powers or anything like that.

I gave another one to FMB for being a n00b, but he got me back (both warnings not infractions).

All of the other ones I've given have been for bannable (sp?) offenses only. I think I've only given 2 or 3 infractions (red cards).

The one you gave to FMB was obviously a joke, I'm not against anyone using their powers for amusement purposes. I was this >< close to handing some out in that thread as well just to see if it would end up spiraling out of control.

Yep, and then they come to the main board.
What would be your solution to that?

Exactly. For anybody who wasn't here in the fall of 2004, when in the midst of football season when the Chiefs were still good, you'd find perhaps three football-related threads and all the rest the politicos pissing and moaning about everything under the sun.

DC is a good thing. Well, DC itself isn't, but the fact that it exists is.

Obama looks like a monkey, not exactly pointing towards to the racial slang part of it.

Obama literally looks like a monkey i see nothing wrong with this.

So, for instance, would you give this post a warning or infraction?

I think the ban option for supporters is acceptable only in severe cases. When supporters banned Frankie and Chiefdawn last week for misleading threads, I call that abuse of powers. That is something that a mod can take care of at his discretion/convenience. If someone is spamming porn, then by all means, take care of it by any means possible asap.

Not to be too confrontational, but I will be anyways.

What makes you think that a Supporter doesn't understand what the difference is between a bannable and a non-bannable offense?

The rules are pretty clear cut. If you get dinged by a supporter, you probably would get dinged by a mod too. Its just that there aren't that many mods, so they are less likely to catch you.

We got along on mod power alone for a long time before you got here. There are a lot of people who post here. Some of them are very level headed like Rain Man, HemiEd and Nzoner (just to name a few of the many) and I wouldn't have any problem with guys like that being deputized. Others will shoot their refrigerator at the drop of a hat and don't belong anywhere in the chain of command when it comes to banning people.

False News or Thread Title
Many people come here for their Chiefs news, so we don't tolerate false news stories, even if done as a joke. Misleading thread titles can fall into this category.

Its listed right there under bannable offenses.

I disagree, misleading thread titles are BS and I encourage the swift action by all involved.

No, I wouldn't. I would click the report post option and leave it to a mods discretion.

Apparently, you missed the part where the mods said that those two deserved to be banned for those actions.

In all honesty, the infractions should be done away with, and they should add 2-4 mods to the picture.

Even with the infractions stopping Marlboro Chief from posting more than 7-8 times, it still took almost 20 minutes to get the posts deleted.

IMO, that's 19 minutes too long, especially when we're talking about porn.

There are enough level-headed people here that are around all the time - it wouldn't be that hard to add some depth to the mod roster.

I'm not doubting that you did, but theres a lot of questionable stuff that gets passed over by the supporters as well.

Last week when people were making a bunch of fake threads about Pioli Signing / Herm getting fired, they were cluttering up the board, and a lot of us were getting sick of it...

Anyways, thats my 2 cents, I don't have much more to add.

I don't give a shit if it is a bannable offense. It is BS that you have the power to make that call just because you gave $25 to Kyle. It should be reported and let a mod deal with it. Mind your own business and let the mods do their job!

Yeah, while I don't think he was trying to be racist, it sure came off as racist, but I wouldn't give him a warning on something like that. Its not serious enough.
