Filthy Donkey Scum now.

I'll be shocked if the Chiefs don't bring in a small herd of Olinemen, particularly guards.

KANSAS CITY -- He wasn't selected in the 2009 NFL Draft but former Western Michigan Bronco Defensive Back Londen Fryar will have his shot at the NFL. Fryar signed a Free Agent contract with the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday evening WMU Media Relations Director Mat Kanan confirmed through e-mail Sunday evening.

Fryar was 1st team All-MAC multiple times and was a part of a fearsome Bronco secondary that saw 2 of it's members drafted (Louis Delmas 33rd and EJ Biggers 217th) and a 3rd headed to the Chiefs in Fryar.

Fryar follows father Irving who starred in the NFL for the Patriots, Dolphins, Eagles and Redskins from 1984-2000.
Fryar is scheduled to fly from Philadelphia to Kansas City for mini-camp on May 7th.

Overview
Londen Fryar is a former cornerback at Western Michigan. After playing four seasons at Western Michigan (redshirt in 2004), Fryar was eligible to be selected in the 2009 NFL Draft but went undrafted. Fryar is 5-feet, 11-inches tall and weighs 192 pounds.
Prep Career
At Holy Cross High School in Jobstown, New Jersey, Fryar was a receiver, defensive back and kick returner. Fryar was named to the Philadelphia Inquirer All-South Jersey First Team and was a third team all-state selection.
College Career
After redshirting in 2004, Fryar made his collegiate debut vs Temple and finished the 2005 season with seven appearances and made one start that year. In 2006, Fryar started in all 12 games for Western Michigan. In a game vs Toledo that season, he recorded a career-high two interceptions for 106 return yards, including a 92-yard interception return for a touchdown. The return was the third-longest in WMU history. By the end of the 2006 season, Fryar led the MAC with six interceptions and was a member of the First Team All-MAC Defense. In 2007, Fryar was named to the First Team All-MAC Defense for a second consecutive year, setting a school record with six break-up plays vs Akron. He also led Western Michigan with 16 pass deflections, the second-highest single season total ever recorded at WMU. Fryar finished the 2008 season playing in 11 games (10 starts) with 42 total tackles and one interception.
Personal
Fryar's father, Irving, played in the NFL for 18 seasons (New England, Miami, Philadelphia and Washington). He was the No. 1 overall selection in the 1984 NFL Draft.

Don't forget about our Goff signing. I know he didn't have a great season last year, but his injury didn't help. Hell, even injured he's an upgrade...

I didn't look at the list for him, I should have. Is he actually that good or do people want him just for his being televised.

Bobby Greenwood Scouting Report by B. K. Johnson
Pros: Bobby led the Crimson Tide in sacks his senior season, not bad for a guy that has been move back and forth from 4-3 to 3-4. He has improved his strength since graduation, working out at CES in Atlanta and has a dedication and drive that many NFL teams are looking for in a Defensive End.
Cons: He really did not get the chance this year to show his strong points (rushing the passer), so if he gets a chance, he will make the NFL team that takes him very happy. Remember a guy from Bama named DeMeco Ryan who did not get the credit he deserved until he won the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year a few years back.
Overall: Bobby will make some NFL team glad they drafted him.

They picked up about 2-3 times as many players as most of the other teams. They went all year without a third string QB and have a horrible second stringer.

Iowanian 04-26-2009 09:19 PM

The Jags sure aren't screwing around.....

Reaper16 04-26-2009 09:26 PM

Someone should give Jamie Hansen, P, Missouri Western, a look.
