No gym for me today. My rest day is today. Full-body weights tomorrow, soccer on saturday and sunday.

SenselessChiefsFan 12-03-2009 11:07 AM

Eating one cup cottage cheese with 1/2 cup pineapple.

Well, so far, I have done nothing to benefit my health today. I started feeling poorly yesterday, still went to the gym last night. I felt so stinking weak that I was tempted to just leave. But, I didn't. I have 106 workouts until spring break, and I plan to make every one of them count.

I normally get up and go to the gym first thing... but slept through my alarm due to the NyQuil I took last night.

Trying to get some work done, so that I can go over lunch. I have to squeeze everything in this afternoon including cardio, back and biceps because I have a dress rehearsal tonight for a musical at my church.

I have loaded up on vitamin C and vitamin D. I have taken a musinex. I still feel like crap.... and I don't know how I am going to say my lines without coughing, much less sing. Ugh.

I have had a protein shake. I went with Body fortress in Almond milk. I am trying to finish off two jugs of this stuff so that I can switch over to syntrax nectar full time.

I have also had a grapefruit, and a grilled chicken bagel and fruit cup w/OJ from Chik Fil A.

Hopefully, I start to feel a little better.

Rest is way more important than working out. It's much better for your body to get an adequate amount of rest/sleep than it is for you to force your body to work when it's already battling something. You'll just tax your body and make yourself sicker. Take a break and come back when you're well.

Plus, this way, you won't get other people at your gym sick.

Just got back from the gym, and not eating for another hour or so.

Workout:

10 minute warm-up on the elliptical

10 sets:

Did 1 with just the bar to warm-up
8 sets with bar + 15 lbs on each side
1 set with bar + 25 lbs on each side

10 Romanian Deadlifts
10 Bent Over Rows
10 Hang Cleans
10 Front Squats
10 Push Presses
10 Lunges, each leg, barbell on back
Rest 2-3 minutes in between sets

Followed with 20 minutes of HIIT on the elliptical, 5 minute cooldown and 10 minutes of stretching.

Breakfast will be an omelet of 6 egg whites, 1 oz of cheese, 1 cup spinach, 1 roma tomato, 3 oz turkey breast.

To hell with em'.

I actually didn't think about that.... I guess no gym for me today.

Well, today is not a good day for my goals. I haven't worke dout, and I wanted something spicy because I feel like crap. I found some pepper jelly, and I polished off a half sleeve of ritz crackers with Pepper Jelly and cream cheese...

Probably just ingested 600 calories of total crap. Not exagerating, probably 15 crackers, at 210 calories. Three servings of cream cheese at 240 calories, then at least three tablespoons of pepper jelly at 115 calories.

Okay, so, just 565 calories. The worst part is that it really did nothing to stop my hunger or to make me feel anybody.

Go ****in' run it off.

That's what I hate about snack food. Empty calories suck.

Whenever I crave overeating, I just go buy a giant steak. Hard to overindulge on good proteins.

I don't even like to have the crap in the house, but I don't buy all the food. My wife is good about getting me what I want.... but she still buys 'snacks' for the kids. And, we have the Ritz from Thanksgiving because we use them in pineapple cheese casserole..... and on mac n cheese.

I'll rebound with a good day tomorrow. I just felt like crap and was looking for a pick me up. I am trying to cut down on my caffeine because I feel like by the time I go to the gym at night, I am starting to crash, and that is when I want to be able to work.

I am going to try to get 10 hours of sleep tonight. Excessive for me normally, but I am hoping the extra rest will help me kick this cold.

The worst part is that I wake up after about six hours with or without an alarm. About the only time I don't is if I have been awake more than 24 hours. I am going to take some NyQuil and hope that helps knock my a$$ out.

No gym again today... feel worse than I did yesterday. I have lost a pound somehow... eating worse than I have and not exercising.... I guess I have this stuff all wrong.

I don't have much of an appetite, and I am not force feeding myself protein shakes, so that is probably what it is. Plus, without the creatine water retention, I imagine that has reduced my water weight.

I can't imagine the key to getting lean is sitting around eating ritz crackers, cream cheese and pepper jelly. It it were... there would be a lot less chunky folks.

Sunday is always a day off for me as well.... so, here is to hoping that I wake up feeling better Monday morning.

I am not starving myself, but I just don't have the appetite I have when I am going to the gym first thing in the morning and then working out at night.

I just wish I could quit feeling like crap. I feel a little better today. I am hopeful that I am starting to get better.

SenselessChiefsFan 12-06-2009 08:34 PM

Feeling better......can't wait to get back in the gym.
