Because he's gonna be Brady or Manning...

You just said he was top 5 material so he are we talking about then? Rivers? Ben? Brees? Rodgers? That's pretty damn close to Brady and Mannning.

No, those two guys are probably top 5 all-time QBs. That's a hell of a leap from top 5 in the league.

I think before it's all said and done you will probably see Rivers and Ben mentioned as possible top 5 all time QB's as well. Rivers because of numbers and Ben because of titles.

I'm not putting Sam in the hall just yet either, but a SB and some great career passing numbers look very possible. I've said it before he was drafted and I'll say it again. IF he fulfills his potential I'm seeing Kurt Warner (The good version).

And Seattle ****s themselves to this point. Maybe he'll get and stay healthy. Not holding my breath.

Dude, tackles have tough first years. Look at how Smith performed his rookie year. Okung had ankle problems, but when healthy, he showed how good he could be.

I think Smith has more problems then just a fail rookie year. When you get drafted #3 overall as a LT and get move to RT then that's pretty much an admission of we ****ed up.

No, it's not.

The admission of "we ****ed up" is when Tyson Jackson can't get on the field and is instead, beaten by a guy that last played in the UFL.

The Rams most certainly could have made a better decision with the #2 overall pick but he's at least producing on the field and holding his own at the position.

At the end of draft day, it isn't where you were picked, it's how much you contribute to the success of a football team.

Devaney has said that he doesn't give a shit if he messed up drafting Smith at LT. He's still producing at RT. And I don't give a shit either. As long as he's out there protecting Sam, I'll be as happy as can be.

So Gallery was a good pick for the Raiders?

Big Cat, Smith played at RT his rookie year, BTW

I'm just not sure having the highest paid RT in football is what a team really wants in the grand scheme of things.

I don't think paying 3 top 2 overall draft choices is what a team really wants in the grand scheme of things either.

Right, with intentions of moving him over which they couldn't do.

Saffold pannig out as he did really saved their asses with the Smith pick.

No, but if one turns out to be a franchise QB then you live with it with a smile on your face.

Don't get me wrong, they will have a good line for years to come, but I wouldn't want a RT with the #3 pick anymore then I went a 3-4 d end at that spot.
