yeah he is going to make the Denver front office foolish for not only drafting him but giving up picks to get him

I dunno who put this tag on here, but it's so true:

one read and run = pro qb

Didn't you guys learn last off-season not to rag on KnowMo? Your bringing on the hoodoo.

I am trully impressed that a denver fan would actually try to spin the trade up to land Tebow debacle as a good thing for the franchise. I was listening to it on espn radio and the announcer - don't know which one - couldn't stop laughing after the pick was announced.

TJ has credibility. Big difference.

Easy there, partner. Tebow's got a HUGE task ahead of him if he wants to do jack shit in this league.

I don't even know if he can outplay Kyle Orton or Brady Quinn, truthfully. We'll see. It may take him YEARS to start a game in the NFL.

Denver is the perfect place for Tim Tebow to flourish. Back before the 2007 season Belicheat and McDaniels went down to Florida to talk to Urban Meyer about his offense and implemented A LOT of it in New England. Urban Meyer is also close friends with McDaniels' father, so nobody in the NFL knows the potential of Tim Tebow better than JM.

What a crock of ****! Are you seriously trying to sell to these good people that Belichick borrowed from Urban Meyer's offense???? Have you SEEN Florida's offense? Have you SEEN New England's? They are WORLDS apart.

The reason Belichick was in Florida was to evaluate the 9 players expected to be drafted in the upcoming draft. Other than that, Bill has a casual friendship with Urban Meyer and he does in fact, study MANY offenses different than his own -- not necessarily implementing their concepts, but to gain an understanding of them.

Seriously dude, you cannot know anything about football if you seriously believe your above statement to be true.

And Tim Tebow to Denver was the worst pick in the first round of the draft. Didn't you guys draft a running back last year???

Eric Berry is the best player in the draft this year and he will not take long to prove it. I had the pleasure of watching him on Saturdays for 3 years and whatever praise that you have heard is only the beginning.

You think you got a great player, but this kid is one of the best football players to ever live. You have no idea what you are getting in this kid. And he's squeaky clean off-the-field. The nicest guy you will ever meet.

The numbers aren't even close. One player dominates. One player leaps screaming off the list, like Horshack on "Welcome Back Kotter" when he knew the answer to a question: “Pick me! Pick me! Pick me!”

That dominant individual, of course, is Player F. This quarterback:

* Was the most accurate of any of these six passers.
* Dominated the average per attempt category – our favorite number – by better than 1 yard per attempt over the No. 2 player on the list.
* Boasts a passer rating so sky high it defies description, nearly 20 full points better than the No. 2 player on the list.

Elsewhere, Player F was No. 2 in total TD passes – but easily No. 1 in TD pass percentage. Player F threw a TD on 8.9 percent of his pass attempts – easily outpacing Player A, who threw a touchdown on 6.6 percent of his pass attempts.

Finally, Player F protected the ball much better than any of the other quarterbacks on this list. Player F threw an interception on just 1.52 percent of attempts – easily outpacing Player C, who threw an interception on 2.60 percent of attempts. And you know what we've always told you: quarterbacks who throw picks lose games. Quarterbacks who don't throw picks win games.

Dying to know who they are, arentcha? Well, the numbers represent the college career stats of six of the greatest quarterbacks in the modern history of the SEC. Here goes:

*
Player A is Peyton Manning. He played for Tennessee in the SEC and was the No. 1 overall pick in the 1998 draft.
*

Player B is Tim Couch. He played for Kentucky in the SEC and was the No. 1 overall pick in the 1999 draft.
*
Player C is Eli Manning. He played for Ole Miss in the SEC and was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2004 draft.
*
Player D is JaMarcus Russell. He played for LSU in the SEC and was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2007 draft.
*
Player E is Matt Stafford. He played for Georgia in the SEC and was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2009 draft.
*
And, finally, Player F is Tim Tebow. He played for Florida and the SEC and will be far from the No. 1 overall pick in the 2010 draft.

I know that truly you are grasping at straws here so as not to start tying bed sheet to the ceiling like most of Denver is doing tonight, but you should throw a couple other names in there like Dorsey, Wuerffel and Leinart who were either similar or better than Quarterback F's statistics. Anyway, we all know the score here and there is no point on rehashing it - you get the point, and you've had a rough enough day as it is.

Berry was the 2nd best player in this draft but best option for the Chiefs. Suh is gonna be an absolute beast and was the best player in the draft.

Sabanocchio 04-22-2010 11:44 PM

No great NFL QB has EVER come out of Florida. And the guy that leaped off of the page to me in that comparison was #1. I didn't get it until I read the post that followed.

Tebow throws the ball like a running back on a trick play except you get that every time he drops back. Get ready to be disappointed with this pick Denver fans. All the critics are right on this one. Biggest reach in the first round by far.

We will have to agree to disagree on that. Suh is a great player, but Berry will have more of an impact on the game.

Im gonna have to disagree on that... but clearly they were the top two players in the draft regardless

Sabanocchio 04-22-2010 11:47 PM

Berry could play on the friggin' line if you needed him to. Could Suh drop deep and cover WRs??
